Ancient Truth
I have been interested in space and our place in the cosmos for as long as I can remember. I have been reading up on the subject more now days than ever before with the help of the internet at my fingertips. People like Zacharia Stitchin and his translations of the Summerian writings ( the oldest culture in human history )
But yet I feel more frustraighted now than ever before. The more I read up and listen to conferences on the subject on youtube, the more I realise that we are not getting enough evidence. I believe that we as humans go back much more than 4000 years and that we seem to have been more advanced. We had to have been visited by a higher culture. there is apparently another planet (known by the Summerians as Nibiru) in our solar system thats orbit takes it far beyond the outer solar system and comes back close to the inner planets every 3600 years. According to the Summerians, thats were the 'gods' come from.
Its all so interesting but I just wish there was just more evidence cause lets face it, NASA and other high up officials are just not telling us the whole truth. According to the Mayan calendar, something is supposed to happen on december 21 2012. Im not sure what that could be. Some say that Nibiru will be passing again close to the inner planets. but who can say. I only hope I will be able to know the truth in my life time.
If any of you know where I can find more data or listen to stuff on youtube, please let me know ^_^ im hungry to know more.

And I don't think that there would be much anyone could do to stop a planet from coming here. Especially at this point in time, so if it's true... Let's all get wasted the night before. xD
^.^
and I hope "String theory" is not something Zen looks at anytime soon or he will listen to the hours of stuff on that to
No explosions, no nukes, no need to send people in a spacecraft onto the damn thing, just a simple, uneventful method for changing the objects course.
We're talking about the Southern American natives, not a European seer. xP
The Twin Towers wasn't the first event people started tossing his name around, but if you look back at any/all of them and read the passages they say meant what they think it did, you could probably in your own knowledge of World history think of 3 or more other events it could relate to.

Very smart and sophisticated, unlike today's world. :P

I think it's more that people today just go on with their lives, taking everything for granted, while people back then we're genuinely interested in what was to come to our world as a whole, not the individuals.

TV and Internet have useful purposes cause they are centers of information and communication, two of humanities greatest assets. But all the other stuff? It's just to keep us happy, not to further develop our future.
Look at today. Leaders of ever growing corruption, masses distracted by the modern Colloseum of our Television...we as a whole sit idly by as the great society we built comes crumbling down.
No matter what they tell you, the individual cannot change the world itself. You can, however, change the world of others, and that's where one finds real satisfaction.
We're on the bus, and it repeats the same route every second of every day. May as well make the best of where it takes you.
It may mean the end of one thing, but at the same time -personal speculation and a lot of guesswork- it will also just be a whole new beginning. Whatever the case, I intend to get laid a lot before that happens...just in case <.<
You could try searching Google Video...
Also take a listen to Stephen Hawkings work. He doesn't focus on space that much, but he's still fantastically brilliant :D
Speculative theories about Gods and the universe are certainly interesting, but not to be taken seriously. Humans do indeed go back more than 4000 years by the way. Over tens of thousands of years actually XP. If you think of how hard it is for people to uncover evidence of, say, Roman times, just think of how obscure the very far reaches of human history are.
Also, there's the great burning of the Library of Alexandria. It was the central location of all European knowledge, and even further out than that, and it was burned to the ground. Very little to nothing survived. They say it sent us back 1,000 years. Some believe there were steam engine designs way back then. That was one of the things that sparked the Industrial Revolution. Imagine that, if there had been and it hadn't been destroyed, we would have been using Nuclear weapons for war during the Dark Ages, and not swords and armor.
But as for ancient beliefs? They were probably very accurate in much of what they learned. But when humans can't answer a question, they turn to faith and theory. So they probably did know quite a bit about all that was happening, but when they ran into a snag of things they couldn't explain, they may very well have turned to this mysterious planet as the answer. Not because it was true, but because they had no other answer to give. Just a thought
(my favorite quote of enstein "the world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing"
Now, Pluto's orbit is right around 250 Earth years. It's one of the farthest body away from our star that can still be affected by it's pull. How can something that has an orbital body of 3600 years even be remotely affected by a star as small as ours? That would send the planet well beyond the reach of our star's gravity.
I can say with an 87% certainty that this "Nibiru" that the Summerians reffered to was not a planet. Or, if it was, it escaped or sun's gravity some thousands of years ago. Of course, Nibiru may very well just be a part of the Summerian mythology regarding gods, such as today we have Christianity and Hinduism.
It's been drawn and concluded feasible that it is in fact a light object which is being 'slingshotted' back and frth between a 2 or even 3 point star path. It comes extremely close to them, enough to be 'caught' only enough to be turned back around. Rinse, repeat, until eventual instability causes a solar impact or simply chucks it right off course.
Remember the laws of energy and motion.
The nearest star to us is Proxima Centauri, in the Alpha Centauri system. It is around 4.25 lightyears away from us. A lightyear is measured as 11,176,943 m/h. To travel between Proxima Centauri and Sol within 3600 years at a distance of 4.25, the orbital mass would have to travel at a constant speed of 13,195 m/h, assuming that the stars are not moving father apart from one another in odd directions (which, as we already know, they are)
If Jupiter were smaller with the same amount of mass, it would simply be more dense and it's gravity would be the same.
Either way, my point stands. Small and less dense, or large and less dense, it's doubtful that it's gravity would've affected us that greatly.
A larger object will, inevitable, accelerate more slowly simply because it's running into tiny bits of debris, particles, gases, etc. And, above all, energy from the sun. This is why an object in space doesn't appear to move, but by opening a solar sail it can move at a considerable speed, 'pushed' by the sun's solar rays.
Thus, bigger DOES have an effect on gravity's effect, solely due to the laws of inertia, friction, and kinetic force.
Gravity is a force of PULL, not push. Something acting to push something away from it is not the effect of gravity. It's simple force, which is used to escape gravity's pull.
The force of the pull is less effective when there's also a source of push on the object.
100 'units' of 'pull' from gravity is 100 units.
50 units of 'push' from light is 50 units.
Only 50 units of 'pull' are left, thus it accelerates at the effect of 50 units.
Make sense?
Force affects accelleration
They affect opposite one another. The gravity is still the same. There's simply force working against it now
Again, arguing semantics.
Force has to exceed gravity for the effects to be different. In this instance, force would have to be at least 101 of push to have anything besides 100 units of pull come out on top, in which case gravity is no longer in effect
I was arguing the effects of gravity on objects, such as planets
And wrong. What you've said is fundamentally and observably wrong. Any amount of push applied against a pull negates an equal quantity of the lesser amount. If this weren't the case, friction would not exist and all objects in motion would remain so unless a greater force were exerted, which would push them into motion in the opposite direction.
Think about it. You're saying that you can't slow an object by applying a bit of pressure to it. That a car's breaks can only either stop it entirely or throw it instantly into reverse, defying intertia.
Inertia and gravity have absolutely nothing to do with one another, and your thinking is incredibly flawed if that's what you believe. When did we get into discussing interia anyway?
My first point was that mass affects gravity, not size. My second point was that regardless of how much force you put on something, gravity is still in effect unless you completely county gravity's force.
Gravity affects speed, anyone with a brain could tell you that. So does force.
What on earth is wrong with you? This argument has veered so far off course, we're not even discussing gravity anymore. (If you're going to answer that, please do so in a note so we don't bog down this journal with drama)
Okay, so theres a lot more detail needs to be considered to go anywhere near proving that, but it's a theory, no?
Just because something cannot be part of our solar system, doesn't mean it cannot exist, does it?
But if thats the case, we can't even get an evidence if we're in the first universe that has been ever created, who can actually get evidence of that if everything got destroyed already?
Black holes are not all-consuming. They are capable, and do, reach a point of critical mass in which they counter-collapse. They are also escapeable, as many forms of energy do so constantly.
But still, its an interestin theory.
I really like the theory that there is a dormant black hole in the center of the earth. It's a pretty timid theory, but it explains symtoms like the Bermuda, and Dragons Triangle. That shit is NEAT! (sorry 'bout the novel)
It's the mass that determines what we perceive as 'size', since that directly correlates with the 'area of effect'.
Additionally, it's impossible to have a black-hole consume the universe, and unlikely it could even consume a galaxy, because it would reach critical mass long before doing so.
But since it's impossible to study the inside of one.. really we're not sure if anything gets through or not. Even though it'd be really unlikely that something the size of a moon, crushed to the size of a grouping of particles, could just inflate back to it's original size. Still... anything past that primary horizon is 100% theory.
Though, some people believe this to be just hollywood. In the 1980's the Ocean Ranger, an rig set up in Cook Inlet, was completely capsized by a rogue wave. All 84 on board died. In 2005, a cruise ship was also struck by a rogue wave as well.
Black holes are a quantum singularity, but they're still within the same dimension. However it's heavily warped, as the gravity field compresses matter into a near-infinitely tiny area. It also warps time, which is presently beleived to be a form of progressive energy (or possibly anti-energy, the result of energy explusion creates an opposite equal reaction responsible for the procession of events.. complicated theory)
Nothing could survive in a black hole simply because of the fact that mass has become so dense that molecular structures are crushed, and probably even atomic structures, so that sub-atomic particles themselves are smashed to near crushing-point. (it's presumed that if they're broken into smaller matter, quarks theoretically, they no longer are affected by gravity and their mass shifts, thus letting it basically either drift away or, more widely accepted, phase out of normal space)
As far as your main point goes though... Yeah that's the 'end' of the mayan calendar there's still some debate over whether they just stopped there or if it's actually when the world is supposed to end. As for another planet on the off of an orbit... well we wouldn't need NASA telling us about it because it would be blatantly apparent by the orbits of the rest of the planets, which would be vastly less stable having another planet coming through every couple of thousand years. Although I do agree that we've had outside influence in our developement. We may not have even developed here at all (they still have yet to find that missing link.) But that's just wishful thinking on my part based on many older civilizations refering to the human race as the children of the stars and referencing us having come from there.
It is all very fascinating and leaves many questions unanswered. Honestly I'd love to have more answers, or at least more information to work with that hasn't already been skewed by everyone elses agenda..
Good luck with the search!
A thing to understand about prophecies about the "End of the World" is that they are not litteral. For the most part they just speak of an end of an era. Also note that most of these prophecies also speak of the begining of something new afterwards.
Surely, there has to be life out there, and I would consider myself more than blessed to see life which may have aided human lifeforms in the past. For now, all I can do is smile when I see UFOs. ^_^'
I'm waiting with baited breath for 12/21/2012. Sure that's when the mayan calendar ends, but who knows? Maybe if what these teachings teach are true, then these visitors will come down and simply add to the calendar?
Maybe whoever comes down from 'Planet X' will be kind enough to enlighten the human race and slap our collective wrists for being so barbaric to each other.
Or... perhaps they're see how destructive we've become, and decide we're no longer a race worth saving/enslaving and attempt to obliterate us.
That is... if you believe such things. I myself won't hinge everything I know onto it, but I won't dismiss it entirely.
XD sorry.. had to do it ^.^
And it is not a matter of numbers.
Though as for the Mayan calender ending at that particular date...it's possible they just decided not to finish the calenders past that point thinking either it was too tedious to put in the date of every single day of every single year, or they never got around to it. It's likely just a big misinterpretation today seeing the calender suddenly stopping on December 12, 2012, if anything, we'd be best off waiting until the actual date comes and goes. If memory serves, people were paranoid the year 2000 was going to be the end of the world and there were suicides thanks to that fear (a similar fear happened on 6/6/06 too), I'm choosing to go about my life normally even if 12/12/12 nears.
Consider your sources... if they don't have any credible evidence to back up their claims, then what they're offering up are just fanciful stories, nothing more. As you yourself point out, these claims aren't being supported by evidence. So why believe in them?
Consider this scenario: you and I are walking together along the beach. Suddenly I say to you, "There are aliens amongst us. See that guy over there in the bowler hat? He's an alien in disguise."
You walk over to the guy in the bowler hat and ask, "Pardon me, but is it true that you're an alien?" The man in the bowler hat promptly replies, "Why, no, I'm not."
Now I clap my hands and say, "Aha! See, the fact that he's denying it just proves my point. After all, if he wasn't an alien, why would he deny it?"
This is essentially what conspiracy theorists do - they push the burden of proof away from themselves and onto other people or organizations, while claiming that all denial or counterargument gives weight to their story.
And the world doesn't exactly end there either, being the Mayan Calendar has a Baktun (in fact, several Baktuns) afte 13.
What is most likely going to happen is the increased risk of something called a "Perfect Solar Storm" during the regular cycle of the Sun shifting its poles. It will be at Maximum around that year.
What happens in a perfect solar storm is a massive coronal ejection of radiated plasma that directly strikes the planet. Something like that can potentiall cause a major disruption of society because it will effect all forms of electronic technology. The last perfect solar storm was in 1859.
That's probably all that will happen, IF it happens on that date. Its only an estimate and not a guarantee due to the erratic nature of the sun.
On Dec 21, 2012, the Sun will pass the Galactic Equator. That's what's happening. However, there is no proof such an event has caused a mass extinction in the past.
That and yes, Revelations is not good bedtime reading material - I remember from years ago that some of the stuff in there was quite...sobering.
"Any inquiry into the nature of an object or phenomenon inevitably leads to an inquiry of another."
The fact is that people think that space is so vast and more unknown than our own planet because they think it is the final direction that people will be going, the final fronteer some say. In truth there are thousands of other fronteers that they just don't see that require us to not even leave our own atmosphere. In other words, you think you want to know more about space because you can't live there and so you want to, but what about living thousands of feet under the ocean floor for more than a day, underneath the earth closer to the hot core, or even in the sky. The possibilities on this planet are just as endless, for everything is just as infinately small as things are infinately big.
But yeah, we do kinda need to look into the intricities of this planet first, of course. Pointless just skipping that by. But space is kinda a new playtoy for our imaginations :) Earth -is- limited by basic values. Gases, gravity etc, things that if you're to function here, you need to maintain within. Gotta be some weird critters out there on a distant planet with some strange functions for their planets eco system (though earth has some pretty mucked up ones already :P)
..I'm sure some geek out there probably knows the millions of names of bugs XD Saaaaad if so :P
And any geek that can name millions of bugs off the top of his head is definately sad, but he doesn't know them all. The smaller the creature the faster the evolution the more of them there are.
some interesting stuff ^_^
40,000 possibly given the rate of evolution to create anything close to what we'd consider human.
it's certainly a fascinating idea isnt it, i mean the way the stories go im not sure if i'd concider them as the reason the idea of elves came about or in some cases where hey talk about "the long pointed face" reminds me more of anubis, all it would have taken is one guy to say "they have faces pointed like jackals" for that idea to arise.
(this is the 200th commet on this page:)
Actually if you're up to it I'd like to chat about whatever theories you have and show you some fun literature that might knock your socks off. Feel free to shoot me an IM any time.
But what's evident in a lot of cultures is the noting that they're more advanced beings than us, they have a tie in our creation, supposedly, and they come from an unreachable land that only they can guide us to, in one way or another.
Whatever happens in 2012, not really worried about it. There was the Nostradamus readings, as well as the theory of Armageddon, which's supposed to happen at around now. Shiva does his dance, Balder meets his demise, all religions point at this, in one way or another. the End of Mankind.
The theory that they can be an intelligent lifeforce isn't too far-fetched. To be an egotist and state that we're the only creatures in the universe that are blessed with life is as right as egotism is. "Nibiru" can be a ship that monitors the planet at a set time, circling the system to and from the homeworld of the "gods" like a satellite to gather info on progress. Maybe, if we're not progressing the way that was planned, they start over, wipe us out and make a clean slate? Who knows, and doubt we could really do much about it, if that was the case.
Bitchin topic, dude. Haven't thought about this for a while, and definitely an interesting conversational piece.
I love space < 3 I have somthing for you if your intrested. The entire story about how the aliens from nibiru came here and stuff ^_^ Its REALLY intresting < 3
But wow I didt know you were intrested in this * licks* I liek you a whole lot more now.
Advance Race of Alien's destroying the Earth has minimal percentage of occuring (wow they developed advance weaponry and gadgets and they didn't know about advance methods like diplomacy and colonization which they can gain more advantages... )
Rocks and objects from space coliding to Earth can be stoped by the combined NUKES or weapons from the nations of the world (USA isn't just the country who will stop the obliteration like in the movies... Countries will compete in saving the world like the race to the Moon)
I believe that humanity will destroy the Earth and itself has the most probable chance of occuring...
~just an Oppinion
BTW we have satelites which can detect extremely far objects in the outerspace so we could detect if a planet/object is closing by and be ready for it
All this "Ancient Advance Culture" stuff pisses me off, in that it's taken into account on matters of a solar nature because it's old. These people didn't know anything about sanitation or disease, and yet they somehow managed to learn more about the solar system than we currently know with our INCREDIBLE technological advantage?
Yeah, right.
Nostradamus' predictions are written in a way so to be cryptic and generalized, and he wrote hundreds of the damned things. It's a bunch of hooey. 'On x date in x year, x happens' is a prediction that can be testable. Nostradamus' writings are not, people look around for events that match up to the generic writings and go "Ah ha! He got it right!'
And this if 'they' know, they won't tell the public is the type of conspiracy theorist crap that people who can't bloody prove their idiocy and quackery pull out. "We can't find anything because the government is hiding it!"
"We don't know how the ancient Egyptians managed to build the pyramids with their ancient technology, so Aliens did it" is an argument from ignorance logical fallacy. And it's not even true in that there are several plausible theories on how they were made have been developed and tested.
Frankly my personal opinion is man invented god as a source of hope, a way to drive on in hard times, a promise of something more when we die, a way to strive to be good people. My opinion on then end of the work is the same as the begining. Since man doesn't understand were we came from we make it up as we go along. We invent the begining as magical and give no way to understand it. We do the same with the end of life. We make up our own versions as a way of giving ourselves peace. We try to calm our minds by lying and saying we know just how it will all end. The truth; no one really knows how we came to be or how it will end. Science tries its best but there is so much it cant answer. Religion makes its own version in an attempt to comfort our uncertanty. For myself....I dont like either, I like surprises. I dont want the answers I just want to live out my time the best way I know how. :) Its worked for me so far.
"That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you've ever heard of, every human being who ever was lived out their lives. The aggregate of all our joys and sufferings, thousands of confident religions, ideologies and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilizations, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every hopeful child, every mother and father, every inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every superstar, every supreme leader, every saint and sinner in the history of our species, lived there - on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam." - Carl Sagan
I've always had a real interest in that passage, it shows just how everything we've accomplished in the last several thousand years seem so insignificant in comparison to the whole of the universe.
I do believe there are aliens out there and that it's human arogance that assumes, like the old argument against flying machines, that if we don't already know how to do it, then it's impossible. I also love to laugh my head off at the people who smugly claim "If there are intelligent aliens out there, then why haven't they contacted us?" and then point to the absence of proof to back up their argument that alien life does not exist. It's a completely stupid argument, because like the one that insisted that the Sun revolves around the Earth, it biligerently assumes that the universe revolves around us. Frankly it wouldn't suprise me at all if there are aliens all over the place and they are doing their damnedest to keep us ignorant, because they view humanity on the whole as about the level of a teenager. Personally, all I have to do is look at the newspaper every morning to see a dozen reasons any alien civilzation would want to stay as far away as possible from us.
no matter what is said...or what isnt. its a very interesting subject and i encourage you to pursue it more. just remember to keep a level head as you do so. good luck on your findings.
^_^
*runs away, after snapping a kodak as the globe explodes on Zen's noggin'*
... another thing you could add to the list are Egyptian pyramids. Somehow, 1 man is suppose to move a huge block of stone... I just think we do not look at the obvious anymore, so we consider things to be difficult when the answers are very simple. ^^;
Obviously, this is theory... and I believe there is a little truth in everything. ;D
Though I do find it interesting.

all in all its gona be an interesting next 25 years and I'm clad I live in Canada cause if the temp keeps rising I'm gona move up north and sit in the snow and permafrost XD
Ironically, the Bible Code works within the scientific constraints of Quantum Physics.
Either way, I'm looking forward to the last AC ever: AC2012. See you all there!
I don't know all the details, because I have not looked it up in a very long time.
There are past cultures in China, South (Inca, Mayan) and North America (Mississippi Indians), Africa (Egypt), and Europe (Several mounds, and I think Stone Hinge, but don't hold me to that.) that have all built monuments that are pyramids or mounds. No big deal right, well here is the strange part. They all are aligned the same way, focus on similar if not the same stars in the sky, and their calendars all end around the same time.
The Aborigines of Australia also believe that around the same time frame this "dream time" will end and a new one begin.
I did a paper on it about ten years ago, and it spooked me a little then. My teacher basically patted me on the head for doing a good amount of research, but not really stating a conclusion such as trans ocean communication and trade.
Whatever is going to happen, even if its nothing, should be interesting to watch as people begin to fear it. Anyone remember the Y2K scam?
Keep it up guys!
The more knowledge that we have the more powerful we become. If two men exchange an apple they still have one apple each in the end. If two men exchange ideas then they both now have two ideas.
Whether these things are right, wrong, or totally crazy they give us more ways to look at ourselves and the world.
If this happens, we can not control it anymore than we can influence if the sun comes up. Enjoy the debate, put it in the back of your mind in the proper place, and use or not use it later.
This is a relly intresting and fun artical to read http://www.angelfire.com/games2/thezfiles/010.html
the six book series by Zecharia Sitchin (as Zen Mentioned) called "The Earth Chronicles"
The first being titled: "The Twelth Planet"
Oh well hopefully once we aren't ever centered completely on some war, we can throw budgets back to more useful things, like trying not to kill our selves.
IT's interesting stuff though, you can read for a life time and still not hit the tip of the ice berg.
Mayans studied the relation between the starts/sun/moon vs the changes on their enviroment rather than the people, hence here how they could build pyramids in a way so exact that once a year its starway shadow shows a snake going down marking a specific date, also their math was way more precise.
Summerians, as Zen said above.
Here's a couple of brain teasers and universal rules:
1.- Every single rule in this universe has at leas an exception and/or an exact contradiction.
a-1: By the statementabove this rule will also have an exception or contradiction.
2.- There's no such thing as 'vacuum' or complete 'emptyness' even space is filled up with a black see-through matter, extremely light and with so little density that objects take a lot of time to loose their momentum; 'vacuum' word is wrongly used.
3.- Thinking of multiple universes or dimensions gets too complex unless you think on them as grains of sand; imagine our galaxy and other galaxies as a grain of sand on the beach, now imagine other grains of sand all around, and then more sand that goes in the water and grains of sand that go further away from it, as we move around the 'universe' where these grains of sand are differs so drastically we perceive it as another dimension; (grains in water and grains in dry land) but they are neverless inside the same universe itself.
If the earth ends on 2012... bummer, it was already depicted on anime a long time ago.

*The precession of the equinoxes due to the slight wobble of the earth's axis changes the plane of the earth's ecliptic causing it to move slowly thorugh the twelve houses of the Zodiac. A passage through one hosue takes 2,160 years to complete. (A definition from one of the books I'm reading)
Another problem i found is the sun's gravitational pole. The star may be big but unfortunately, it doesnt reach much further after the oort cloud (nearly 1 light year away). The cloud its self may have small particles of comets attached to it so that could be the reason why the oort cloud is effected, but since the distance, it is also effected by other stars as well. So a planet far beyond the oort cloud wouldnt be affected by the sun's gravitational pole to the extent that it would orbit around it.
Mythologically speaking, the planet could be God bringing armageddon and destroy those who lived terrible lives. (YehWeh (Christian God) did destroy the world with a flood because they were selfish. They hated and lusted after another.)(Not that lust is a bad thing, but when you let it take over your life, it could become a problem)(And that is what most catholics mix up when they think of sodom and ghomorah, LUST and LOVE are two DIFFERENT things). The God of Abraham and Issac? maybe. The God of nero or constantine? could or couldnt. We may not know. One thing i know for sure is that time takes us all.
