I'm sorry to hear. Was he sick or old?

He was 26 which, for a Thoroughbred, is up there. But, that wasn't the problem. He just had a major colic and was not responding to any treatment. It was time to send him on his way.

I am very sorry for you, Stripes. I know what it is like to send a four-footed/hoofed friend (who was always there and responded with love) on his or her way. It's not easy, but it can be a little easier to bear if you remember the good times the both of you had together.
