Joining the 700 club, well, in a way anyway. 65th Journal.

This is my head.
I just got my 700th watcher.
Neyaraxis is the (un)lucky one. Well, he/she is the first to hit that number as my watch list tends to go up and down a lot. So Neyaraxis gets a prize of a drawing by me, that is if the person accepts my offer. We'll see.
On the other fronts, I am still not getting much in the way of comments like usual. Oh well, just my luck. I am getting ever closer to 1000 views on that gory bunny pic I did a few months back. Seems people go for my more extreme works (though the quantity is lacking). I need to get back in my drawing mode. But I lack motivation and the minuscule number of comments are not helping.
I have tons of unfinished works in my gallery (mostly in my scraps section). If anyone finds something in there that they want me to complete, let me know and I'll try to work on it. I have plenty to chose from, that is for sure.
My brother steadily improving from his broken hip. he came over today for my Memorial Day cookout. I have done any grilling in a long long time, over a year at least. He was in a wheel chair still but could get ready to walk with a walker soon if he continues to get better.
As for the food, the meal turned out very nice. I cooked on the grill some marinaded chicken, steak with some dry rub and beef sausages. I also tossed in vegetables like red bell peppers, zucchini squash, onions and roasted garlic cloves. They all tasted quite yummy. I need to cook outside more often.
Well, this is a quick journal. Much shorter than my usual long narrative. Lucky you, hehe. Don't be a stranger and comment. Don't make me come over there.

Hey Monstrosity - I'm up for helping boost views/favs/comments, we could always do a collaboration or something. I like your work, myself =D

Hmm, a collaboration is something I haven't done before aside from the various Open Canvas sessions I did a few times online with people. This could prove interesting. What you have in mind?

I'm not sure, your lines and my colours is about all I can suggest =D

What kind of spices and herbs do you usually put on your marinade?

This time I used freshly ground black pepper, thyme, cumin powder, oregano, basil, lots of garlic powder, and a big dash of red wine. I didn't measure anything, just pour them on on the five chicken breasts in a bowl and covered it in plastic wrap before stuffing it in the fridge overnight. I turned the meat over a few times, moving the ones on the bottom to the top so I get better coverage. I should have cut the thick slices thinner so that I didn't had to cook it so long to get it done all the way through. but it didn't dry out all that bad so came out great. If I don't forget next time, I'll cut them down for faster grilling. The steaks already thinly sliced so they cooked very quick. I was actually looking slightly thicker ones but that is all the grocery store had besides thick briskets. I guess that happens when I shopped the day before. All still very yummy however.

Well, I lost a watcher like I predicted though it happen a bit quicker than I thought. It'll probably bounce up and down for a bit like it been doing but I did reach that 700 mark. If I didn't lose watchers like been doing, I be way over a 1000 now. At least there is a upward trend, just going so slow.

Ugh, the count bounced down and up to 700 six times. And now I am down by two. It is like a rollercoaster but without the fun.
