I still have no idea how I'd react to a tree falling into my room, though. x_x I've been trying to figure that out since you posted the last journal.

If you're me, the initial reaction is, "HOLY FUCKING SHIT" and then you kinda freak out wondering how you're going to clean this mess up, what if the power lines catch it on fire, WHAT IF IT FALLS THE REST OF THE WAY?

Then you call somebody to help, and if they don't pick up you call somebody they know. And you start this chain of calls until you realize that you should probably call the insurance folks...

... Cue three hours of phone calls followed by somebody showing up with a chainsaw. And then about four hours of disassembling said tree.

I'm worried about the part that's still standing. There's a huge SPLIT down the middle, and I'm kinda afraid the other half will fall and, uh, block the street leading behind the house. Which is a dead end drive. .-.

THEN AGAIN I'M A PARANOID DITZ.

Everyone but me had the reaction of, "Oh well, call such-and-such to see if he can get it down."

Yeah. I guess I have less to worry about ROOF COLLAPSING OVER MY ROOM and more to worry about IT MIGHT LEAK KINDA SORTA.

Which, it's not raining so I don't have to worry about that yet. XD

Eeeesh, glad to hear... er, read... that the situation wasn't as bad as anticipated. Still kinda sucky, no doubt, but roof gore vs. rooflessness are rather different entities.

YEAH, I expected a lot worse, to be honest. Or at least for it to turn out worse. But I'm a bit of a paranoid git who thinks everyone, even nature, is out to get me.
