This will be the Item FAQ for 
gabe's game: Legend of Opala. In this FAQ I'll be trying to cover information specifically related to items scattered in the game. Including Moonstones, Paintings, quest items and more.

Item related questions:
Q: What does the eye of horus do?
A: Using the eye will make enemy monsters visible on the screen when walking around. There are 14 in total, each one raises the transparency a bit.
Q:What are Moonstones and Sunstones for?
A: You may use these with the legendary blacksmith to unlock new items for him to be capable of crafting. Does not affect his prices though.
Q: What are tablets of history for?
A: There is a fortune teller in the Egyptian capital who will give you hints and secrets for collecting these. 25 in total.
Q: What are 'Broken Piece' 01 and 02 for?
A: You may take both pieces to the Legendary blacksmith and he will repair them into a key for you, which may be used on Dead Rock.
Q: What is the 'Worthless piece of shit' for?
A: This rusty sword is a weapon made by the Legendary blacksmith. Bring it to him and he will agree to forge weapons for you, for a cost.

Treasure Map locations
Map 1: Drawer next to bed in Naacia's Tower

Map 4: Earned during second part of mission 'Pirate Booty'
Map 5: Earned during second part of mission 'Pirate Booty'
Map 6: In the Inn at Falcon Mount (Secret box)
Map 7: Earned by completing the mission "Food Merchant's Missing Key"
Map 8: In a small empty room in the basement of 'The Mansion of the Lord' The room is through a dark doorway in a stone hallway in the depth of the Mansion. There are 4 invisible switches in the floor of the room. Walk around pressing Spacebar to activate them, which opens a door in the back wall. The treasure map is inside.

Eye of Horus locations
1) North side of Garden of Anuket
2) Palace sewer, 1 area north of the dungeon
3) Palace sewer, outside the Pharaohs tomb
4) Tower of Hades. At the end of the Tower of Hades, just before the transition to the grassy area and bridge that leads to Osira's Cavern.]
5)South the the 4 way intersection sign south of the Tower of Hades. Just go straight south until you hit a dead peninsula.
6) In the mountain of Mount Falcon, before you reach Mount Falcon Town.
7) Ruins of the past, in the chapel of the church
8) Tower of Hades. At the end of the Tower of Hades, just before the transition to the grassy area and bridge that leads to Osira's Cavern.]
9) Osira's Cavern, in the area to the north of the stone bridge you cross as you enter the cave of Osira's Cavern.

Any hints on where it tells you to look for treasure?
Painting locations (other than the ones you already have):
1: Building on left side of main square of capital, just south of the break in the wall.
3: First building in the Greek city (the first one after the portal)
4: Southern tavern in greek city
5: Forgotten ruins, head down the stairs on the northern screen.
8: Item/equipment shop in Wintero Village
9: Tower east of Forgotten Ruins (where you can fight sir edward)
10: Middle cell in Osira's Lair
11: Arena on Festival Island, north wall of viewing area
Hope this helps! Sorry I'm not sure where 6 is, but then again, I didn't even know there was a bandit city...
You keep any scenes you unlocked available for viewing in the Book of Illustrations, and this passes over to game+ mode; so you can do evil then good or vice versa if you want all the scenes.
Any scenes you unlock on the first run through, will continue on in the second and you can still unlock them in second run too.
It's driving me mad!!

Oh, can you tell me where Legendary Demon Guardian can be found? He's the last one I need.
