Friend of mine who used that description when I explained it to him very much changed his mind once he actually got his hands in it. Give it a try for yourself, don't knock it just based on the summarized opinions people voice. Though I do think it will hold more appeal for artists than non, since most of the OMG COOL stuff is in managing and presenting your work.
