Computer problems?

Hi there, long time no see or hear..
So the last few days my computer has been continuously freezing.. I don't know why, I don't know how, I just know that all of a sudden Firefox stops responding/music or video stop playing, and I can't close anything. The computer itself is still operatable, but that soon stops too, as the whole computer stops responding. The only option I have left is to press the Power button, and in normal cases it would be fine after that, but today it has been freezing for over 8 times already, at one point not even entering the Desktop after entering my password.
My virus scanner doesn't find anything, so it's no virus or malware, so now I'm using my old laptop (the slow one without a q button), but it's slow and doesn't have a q button >.<
Tried doing a search online in Safe mode, but even there it froze O.o

It could be freezing because of disk space; make sure it's not jam packed with only like, 2 megabytes left.
Or option three: new computer!
CCleaner: Junk files
DeFraggler: defragmenting
Registry things i have and tuning of services startup items and turn off visual effects with make the computer slow for a better visual experience
you could add me to one of my messengers on my profile.
im just about to head out to fix a friends PC near by he wants ubuntu
also run in safe mode and run antivirus from there.. some troyans cause this behavior once they eat all the memory
the usual temps of the cpu must be below 55°C
usually 60°C is the breaking point (temp protection of the cpu starts to kick in..)
they go into throttle mode at that temp then shut down.
your fan probably isnt working (the cpu fan's)
so imho its a problem of overheating.
