The Controversial Survey (LOL 15)
[01] Do you have the guts to answer these questions and re-post as The Controversial Survey?
... why is this even a question. XD
[02] Would you do meth if it was legalized?
Absolutely never. That stuff kills and I just plain wouldn't anyway.
[03] Abortion: for or against it?
Against. I can empathize with women who were in a rape situation or something, but even then they should just have the child and put it up for adoption if they don't want it so bad. It's that simple. And for people who just don't want to have the baby? That's just horrible. Abortion is murder.
[04] Do you think a country would fail with a female president?
Well, I actually think we wouldn't do as well. We wouldn't FAIL, per se, but I think we do better with male presidents. I don't care who they are, ALL girls are moody and that can lead to rash decisions haha. Plus men are the typical and inborn symbol of authority in a way, so I just think it works better.
[05] Do you believe in the death penalty?
Only for serious criminals and repeat offenders. A guy who keeps killing people or a serial rapist can die and really, that will better the world. However, I think that maybe people who have done "less crimes" (can't think of a better way to put that, but I think you know what I mean. Like, this is their first time in jail, no matter what for, or something like that) can just serve their time.
[06] Do you wish marijuana would be legalized already?
I think that's alright for medical use, but otherwise I think it's absolutely ridiculous that it would be legalized at all.
[07] Are you for or against premarital sex?
The Bible says no and so do I. Just wait.
[08] Do you believe in God?
Mmhmm, I do, being a Christian.
[09] Do you think same sex marriage should be legalized?
Personally, I think that being gay is morally wrong (sorry) but if you are, then I'm not going to automatically judge you or shun you or anything. I don't care if you're gay, and if you wanna marry another dude or another girl, I really could care less. I personally think gayness is wrong, but I think we're really wasting our time bickering about legalizing this or not. To me it's a personal choice, morally wrong though it may be, and since this is a country based on FREEDOM, why not just let them be, jeez.
[10] Do you think it's wrong that so many Hispanics are illegally moving to the USA?
Honestly, I cannot deny that no matter which way you look at it, Hispanic immigrants, legal and not, do hold up much of the economy here, especially in the south. They do the jobs no one else is willing to do, and they work very hard, which is more than you can say for some "white" people, honestly. I have no problem with them being here, as long as it's legally. It is not a difficult or expensive process.
[11] A twelve year old girl has a baby, should she keep it?
That's not really my decision to make, but personally I'd say... no. I guess it sort of depends on the circumstances; her family and such, but really I'd say no. She's so not ready for that sort of thing, and her family shouldn't support that by keeping that. There are plenty of loving families who would love to take your "mistake."
[12] Should the alcohol age be lowered to eighteen?
There are pros and cons to that. On the one hand, people of that age are in no way ready for and capable of the responsibility of alcohol (even though a TON of people drink even earlier than that illegally all the time.) On the other hand, bringing down the drinking age could help people not to see it as some big event where they're finally 21, they go get wasted all the time just because they can. Like, holding back makes it more something people want and then they go crazy when they get it. It depends on how you see it. I guess it's fine where it is though.
[13] Should the war in Iraq be called off?
I really do not know every detail of everything that has and is happening with that whole issue. I believe at the time that war was the right call to make, but I'm not 100% sure either way what we should be doing right now.
[14] Assisted suicide is illegal: do you agree?
I think that's sort of essentially murder, so no. I understand and empathize with the people who feel like they have nothing left to live for and so want to end their life, but I think that the person should help them get better instead of giving in to their wishes. Plus, if someone asks for help to kill them self, that isn't genuine, that's a cry for attention more than anything, I think.
[15] Do you believe in spanking your children?
Yes. I was spanked and I turned out alright. Personally I think a lot of the newfangled ways people parent their children are raising a generation of wusses. Sports games where they don't keep score so no one has to lose? Not spanking, just ignoring bad behavior? Making kids shows super safe? What? This is an issue I feel really strongly about- kids need to learn the hard way, to be frank. If they lose, then they learn that you can't win everything, and the sting of losing makes them try harder to win. Ignoring bad behavior really just encourages it because there is no consequence, so kids can essentially do what ever they want! And all this child-proofing and junk on kid's movies and tv shows is stupid.Kids are smarter than you think, and I believe that it is the parent's job to make sure they know right from wrong and such. Look at older kids shows and classic movies that we grew up with- was everything appropriate? Actually if you look a little closer, no! Many Disney movies involve sexual innuendo, "adult situations" such as murder, villains, etc.! Kids really do have enough common sense to tell the difference! Just because a kid sees a man kill someone on tv, he isn't going to assume he can do the same if his parents are actually raising him right! It's the parents' job to teach their kids right and wrong, and then you don't have to super kid-proof tv shows! Kids can tell the difference or just don't understand some of the stuff (like some of the jokes in Disney movies? I didn't get them when I was a kid so I just passed over them. Now I understand the sexual innuendos contained in those jokes, but now I'm old enough to handle that!) Honestly, the next generation is going to be a bunch of wusses with no ambition and no discipline and especially no common sense if they keep getting raised the way many of them are. Getting spanked- "Oh, you'll damage his self esteem and make him afraid of you." What? No! For me, it made my parents seem more authority figures when they needed to be, and it made me think twice before I did something I knew was bad! It's discipline, and quite frankly it seems to have worked for many of the older generations! And not grading school work and not scoring sports games gives kids no ambition, no drive, no want to improve, to get better at what they are doing and to learn from their mistakes. It sucks losing, yeah, but then you learn from it and you work even harder to improve so you don't lose next time! It's about ambition and learning from your mistakes and most of all, teaching your kids to want to do the best they can. When there's no winners or losers, those lessons are lost, and kids will get complacent and then "Who cares if we try and why should we try to get better? We can't lose" becomes "Why should I try to do better in school? It doesn't matter." "Who cares if I try to get into a good college? It doesn't matter." becomes "Why should I try to get a good job and get better at what I do!" Instead of building your kid's self-esteem, you're setting up a bad pattern for the rest of his life. Most of humanity has figured out and built their self-esteem in other ways, say by working hard and achieving their goals? Seems a little contradictory to me. People are coddling their children; protecting them to an unhealthy degree from the real world to the extent that once they get older they will be in for a serious shock! Once they leave your little bubble of safety and see what the real world is like, they will be totally unprepared with what it takes to survive! That stuff has got to start early! You have to work hard, have discipline, and have common sense to be successful, and a lot of parents are really taking those lessons away from their kids. People see traditional methods as "uncouth," "cruel," "unsafe," or maybe even "primal," but it seems to have worked and produced some very successful, functioning human beings to me! The traditional ways, as I see it, are better than all this newfangled sensitive crap, and I don't care if my kids complain, that's the way they are getting raised. Disney movies, kids shows that aren't "kid-proofed" necessarily, winning and losing, and you know what? If my kid just mouthed off to me and ate the cookies I told him not to and he's young? I am so slapping him straight across the butt. Too bad. Many people are raising a generation of wusses, and boy are we in trouble when they become adults.
[16] Would you burn an American flag for a million dollars?
As much of a powerful symbol as it is, it IS just a symbol. I think some people idolize it a little too much.
[17] Who do you think would have made a better president? McCain or Obama?
LOLIDKBBQ I'm not a fan of Obama, for sure. We voted McCain
[18] Are you afraid others will judge you from reading some of your answers?
I don't really care, because it's what I genuinely believe!
