General
I want to get in shape for the eventual wedding, which is probably more than a year out. Even so, I have problems with my balance and with my legs that inhibit my ability to do every-day things, and I'm hoping this will start me on the path to coping with, if not correcting, those issues. My ultimate goal is to be able to walk down the aisle and stand at the alter unassisted, but it would be nice to be able to go grocery shopping on my own in the interim.
According to the software, my BMI is the border of Normal and Overweight, and losing 22 lbs will hit the "Ideal" for my height and age. My "Wii Fit Age" is a year younger than my actual age, which was encouraging news. After getting all that figured out I managed to do 7 minutes (according to its measurment of time) of balance games that were surprisingly fun while giving me a taste of exercise. All in all I was on the thing for about 30 minutes before I was too tired to continue. Seems inauspicious, but it started the forward momentum, so I'll count it as a victory.

Glad to hear that you're making good progress on Wii Fit. I've used it myself before, and I personally find it both beneficial and fun. ^^

Been planning to incorporate that into what I've been doing with the treadmill, though I'm more into getting rid of some more pounds first.
Nice to hear the steps you're taking. And it's also nice to actually hear from someone who's not paid to say it that the WiiFit actually provides a bit of what it advertises.
