I want one tooooo :<!!!! I can't decide whether it's ok for me to spend so much money on a tablet :< I was thinknig about the smaller one but like you say, wondered if the screen would be too small.

Actually the size is quite alright, I'd say it's a tad smaller than a sheet of paper. But I know what I want to use it for mostly, and maybe some day I can do lots of commissions and earn back the investment :p Haha

I am sure it will earn its price tag back over time and if it's something you use all the time it is definitely going to be a worth while purchase, you do draw a lot and also do those comic pages sometimes and I bet it'd help you in all sorts of ways. I can't wait to see what you do with it and also maybe you could tell us how you feel when u get it and use it ? :)

we have a 21UX and we just love it.

we were fortunate enough that a fellow artist online needed money, and it was the one of the two he had that he never used, so we got ours almost brand new for less than half the full retail price.

again tho, we both love it, and i am sure you will too, it is just awesome-ness!!

The Cintiq does, in fact, rock!

I just wish I could go back to my old paper and pencil once in a while though.

Be careful, if you use Adobe CS series, there's a bug between the Cintiq and the CS that randomly turns off your pen pressure...

I've had such issues with my current Intuos 3 as well, though that also counted for Painttool SAI. Plugging the tablet in and out again usually fixed that.

The 21ux is an investment you will NOT regret, trust me. It is an amazing piece of equipment.

I hope so! Currently I have the problem the lines never really turn out the way I want them, because I keep doing a hit-and-miss approach with my Intuos3. I should've gotten used to it by now, but the fact is that I have an awkward hold on my pens, so I'm not entirely accurate to draw with a regular tablet.

I always felt the same way, I used to always sketch by hand on paper, so when I tried inking and coloring with an Intuos tablet, it just felt awkward. It was like trying to draw more blindly than using my natural hand eye coordination. However, since I have used a Cintiq, I actually prefer sketching digitally from the start! In fact, it drives me nuts to draw on paper now, due to the inability to fix things the way you can on a computer without actually having to re draw it all the time. I had started with an old (discontinued) 15 inch Cintiq, and last year upgraded to the 21ux (which is now outdated since they came out with an updated one). I think you will love it, its really worth the $2k.

I only just realized these sort of things existed until recently.

I sorta of want one because I've always felt this disconnectedness when trying to draw one a regular tablet.
