"Dark and mysterious" posers

A-ha-ha! You are as PRESUMPTUOUS as you are POOR and IRISH.
I dislike people who force themselves to be attached to a certain music genre (i.e. death/black metal) just to define themselves because they're so "dark" and "mysterious", instead of listening to something they actually enjoy.
Also people who think that a few bands are not "metal" just because they are not heavy enough for their standards, because they force themselves to be attached to "trying-too-hard-to-be-heavier-than-Heavyweaponsguy" bands with oversped drums and guitars amplified too loudly for brutal earrape, which sounds like pure shit.
I am not talking about people who really do like that kind of music, but those who do for the bragging rights that I stated above.
I SHOULD REALLY STOP RANTING

Though a part of my heart does belong to metal. :3
Speaking of Punk music, there's only one good band I know of, Bad Religion. Everything else is kind of bad and/or stupid :I
I'd include Ramones to the good list, but their vocals are kind of annoying.
Of course there are other good bands, but I haven't really looked into them.
Rock to me, is things like Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones, Led Zepplin, etc
Its so sad to see what modern mainstream music has done to the industry
And Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin are also rock to me.
Along with The Doors, The Beatles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top, The Who, and bands alike.
It's really sad seeing how music has decayed, comparing today with the past.
There's also barely any effort or emotion put into today's music, even though the songs claim to be emotional-themed. You can barely even feel today's music, it's just dull and empty.
For example, sometimes when I listen to The Doors, I feel the music and begin singing along, sometimes leading to me losing control. (Which is good XD)
But when I hear most of today's music, I'm only like "Eh, that's okay, i guess." or just "Meh."
Nah, just kidding. Also, ranting is cool.
i listen to alot of stuff, altough i just dont have a genric style XD
