FIXED: Need help on Cintiq 21UX and Photoshop CS4
15 years ago
General
Issue is fixed now, turns out a clean reinstall of the Cintiq's driver software fixed it.
Right, got a bit of an issue with the Cintiq that's disabling me from using Photoshop CS4 at all.
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
Right now, the Cintiq is set up as a second screen, extending my desktop between these two screens.
When I open up Photoshop and drag the application to the Cintiq screen to work there, everything's fine. But the moment I put my pen down on the screen in the Photoshop app, the cursor disappears and switches to the main desktop screen, while a second click switches back to the Cintiq.
It looks as if clicking and/or in Photoshop swaps between my main desktop and the tablet, an issue I'm not having in Painttool SAI.
I'm not entirely sure how to properly explain it, but if there are folks out there who recognize the problem/ heard of it before and know a way to fix it, I'd appreciate the help =<

OP
How do I do that?

Either function F8, or under the display settings

I'm assuming you've already installed the wacom drivers and management utility? If I recall correctly, the 21UX only works properly when it's the primary display. However, the wacom utility also has a monitor selector for its normal tablets, and I think they apply to the cintiq as well.

Looks like the good old trick worked: uninstall the tablet, reboot, reinstall the software :)

That works too! :)
