Today Danu asked about Chewy. First time since she's been home. Adam and I looked at her and I said, "He's not here, baby girl. He's with great great grandma. They're playing and having a grand ol' time." She looked at us and then nodded saying, "He be back." Tears started up in my eyes at this and I said, "No...no, honey, he's not. He's in heaven, just like great great grandma." She tilted her head to the side and then let out a happy squeal and ran away. I don't know if she was able to actually understand what I told her but she is pretty smart for her age. Guess we'll have to see.

I do miss that little dog....about as much as I miss my great grandmother.......
