I often worry about this kind of thing causing problems for the artists I commission, given some of the odd things I get up to.

To be honest I do think you were the first heavy female commission that I ever did and it opened a huge door for me. It was difficult doing something I never had before but it gave me opportunities with the rest of the community that I would have never had before and I am very happy about it. Plus I just love seeing all the different artist interpretations of your characters that pop up on this site.

I'm glad that's been good for you :) I do like it when people try to draw larger characters and I try to encourage it.

I'm more concerned when some of my weirder kinks are drawn, I worry about the artist getting backlash or odd people drawing the wrong conclusions.

Well, i don't have problems in that heavy meaning. no, nobody assaults me or says bad about me (i hope), it's ust weird when people expect me to draw more of a certain character when it's not even mine :)

This is exactly why I don't post most of the commissions I do. People would draw some SERIOUSLY wrong conclusions about me. :B

hmm didnt know. I think Id quite like to see these somewhere, since I do like your art a lot, but I understand that you might not want certain pieces to be seen by the public

:P I've done pretty much everything. The only subject I absolutely will not touch for any price is cub/lolli/child/pedo or anything of that nature. Otherwise, you name it, there's a good chance I've done it. XP Unfortunately, a lot of people might draw the wrong conclusion such as assuming that just because I was commissioned for ______(insert kink here), that must mean I'm into it. I would be afraid of risking my professional career.

good point. its good to know for when I maybe want a really high quality commish of something touchy, but I definitely see your point hon. I think I can definitely agree on keeping these works private

I didn't really mean it in wrong way. Jsut annoying sometimes. When people (non commissioners) expect more of the "theme" from me, in which i am not into. Wish they sometimes read the description or at least think about it. :)

I only start to draw rough conclussions if they dont mention who it was commissioned by, or even if it was a commission at all.

It sucks a bit that people judge the artist for their work. Just because someone has no problem drawing X, Y or Z, it doesnt mean they automatically are into it.
I wish people would understand that tolerance != being into these things, but ah well :p

As long as they dont get up in arms at you, things are alright Id say.

Not just that, but someone who's an "art whore" collects whatever art they enjoy, where as an art prostitute makes whatever art. :D

I will never see why people make such a mountain out of such a tiny molehill. Art is nothing more than lines and color on a sheet of paper. It's not a big deal. Why take fantasy so seriously?

No, I really guess i wasn't precise enough. I don't want my commissioners to take all to themselves, I wouldn't draw things which i don't like or feel disgused by it. Problem is not commissioners, never! Just people who don't read descriptions or think that i draw only things which turn me on ;)

And this is where the saying "What I do does not reflect who I am." comes into play. It's no different than working a certain job because of skills you may or may not have or just the type of personality that you have is suited for something more specific even if it's not exactly what you're capable of.

Keep up the good work because as we all know, it is fantasy. Sometimes quite beautiful, eye catching, sexy, anything. It's still just art, made to do the same thing, get our attention and give us something the look at.

Carry a super soaker or some water balloons, I hear those work great on "less informed" individuals. *chuckles*

No it's not trouble and grief, no ^^ I guess that i wasn't precise enough. I didn't wrote that in bad tone, no. Nobody assaulted me or anything bad for drawing "unusual" characters. So no worries, just some comments tend to assume that this is my imagination, or at least how i feel, maby it's just my delusion, and they are like expecting it more from me... Of course i have notting against drawing new and unusual stuff, else i wouldn't draw it no? :)

i stopped visiting this site for stuff like that a while ago. so i just go ooooh cool pic then go on with my day. tis not your fault that people want to have some odd and or interesting things drawn. they just commision it because they like your art style. I look at every commision that somw one makes as a compliment. it means they enjoy your art and that they would like you to keep drawing. so obviously more people like your art then dislike. me i am writer so i do not know what it is like all I can do percieve what is a possible outcome.

I am not talking about commissioners, I don't really mind drawing unusual things, it's always a good excersize to try out something out of the ordinary :)
It's jutys poeple who don't read descri[ptions or don't understand that this is commissioned piece, by somebody else. they just expect more and more from of certain theme, like i am drawing this as my own :) I don't know if i was lear enough. :)

I get where both you artists come from since my fiance is an artist, people around here really ask and demand some crazy to stupid things from artists too much. I don't buy commissions so that it's something awesome I can fap to, I buy them because I enjoy watching other artists add their own personal look and touch to my characters. I love seeing the broad range of coloring styles to shading to details and even line work. It's eye candy in a different sense then most people here. Heck that's why I'm here, for the art, isn't that what FA was intended for anyways? Personally Herisheft no one has the right to judge yours or anyone's work for that matter. When it comes down to it, you draw what you want to draw and don't let people stop you from that, that's what art is all about, expression, the freedom to express our ideas and emotions through pictures. Keep up the work you do because I personally love your style and how you draw. ^^

If only people wold realize that, this place would be a utopia XD
