Going to Portland!
Next weekend the fiancé and I are going to Portland. I think it's just supposed to be a cute mini vacation, but I'm pretending it's for BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION. I'm gonna be 25 in a few days, what is this?
So anyway, does anyone have any Portland recommendations? I know for sure that we're going to the zoo and the botanical gardens. I think we have food figured out for all three days, and Kimya Dawson is playing somewhere one night.
WHAT SHOULD WE DO HMMM?

I always forget that there is a Portland other than the one in Oregon. I am a spoiled west coaster.
not THAT spoiled if you've never eaten lobster! D8 how expensive is it there?
We were just there, so beautiful holy shit!
I went dune buggyin' up there once when I was much much younger, but really -- there's an infinite number of things to do out in all that nature.
You should definitely spend some time at the beach.
@-@ Hide me in some of your luggage.
The botanical gardens are going to just be... splendid. @o@;
*sends 1000 hugs your way* I hope your trip is awesome, and your birthday is even better.
We're only going for three days and we're driving from Seattle, so we have to cram a lot of fun in XD We're stopping at Mt. St. Helens on the way there too! Maybe! Or maybe on the way back. How far is the beach from the city?
I'm sure you'll have nothin' but fun while there, regardless of what you're doin'.
Hm.
I can't quite remember (been a little while since I was last up there); however in Oregon -- idk -- it feels like you're always pretty close to the ocean (and oh is it beautiful there too).
The state is really filled with life -- much like Washington.
Seattle is also pretty beautiful, really, you're going to have fun wherever you travel around there.
I'm in NorCal -- there's some nice things to experience around here, but nothin' like up there (well, if you have some good friends that is and enjoy bein' out in nature).
*hides further*
Uh, UHM. Sock Dreams!? ANYWHERE on SE Hawthorne. :V
Also, I want to live in Powell's.
I've not yet been to either. XD
