Please die Adobe.. KTHXGB

Ever since they took over flash they fucked it up (much more).
All it does now these days is crash, slow down the pc with horribly inefficient video codecs and let ads intrude all over pages.
Used to work ok, and it was based on the idea of not hogging system resources and preventing flash processes from fucking with your systems inner workings.
but noooo they had to make it adware friendly $$$.
No really, I hope they die horribly.
That's what you deserve for pissing EVERYBODY off.
BTW put undo buttons back in Photoshop you clueless bastards.
ctrl+z is for mutants with invincible wrists.

So, yeah... They're making poor decisions in all their product lines... Though, some of the features in Photoshop CS5 are pretty damn cool.
I've never gotten far learning any flash programming, this is part of why because the standards change with each revision, so a game you might've spent 2 years programming could be rendered broken by the time you've finished.
I don't have much patience programming anyway, I prefer tweaking or co-designing ideas.
Actually had some luck with assembly aka raw machine code before, but a lot of people have and not noticed, if you've ever used and modified game cheats like game genie and game shark then you've done assembly hacking.
Never tried PS CS5 I think, cant afford it, probably requires multiprocessors with SSE-v50 zillion, etc
And I don't like swiping programs unless I absolutely have to.
So, at first I thought I would create a programatically driven engine to make it easier for him to complete the game... But then I saw they already had a programmer, and I didn't want to step on his toes. So, having never created a game engine before, I thought this would be just within' my grasp. Not too complicated, but just complicated enough to be fun. I took it on as a personal project. I don't really intend to release it or do anything with it. I just wanted to see if I could do it. My friend urged me not to release it, as it would be a catalyst for many, many bad Sonic CYOA games.
Honestly? I kinda want to release just to see what happens. xD
I've done some assembly hacking before. I replaced the music system in the game Oblivion with one of my own design that enables track resume, custom playlists (created in the game's script), and volume fading. Had to inject code into the game to disable the old music system and co-opt some of the logic used to determine the type of music to play. It worked out pretty well, but it was not without it's own problems.
I'm really surprised Adobe hasn't released free, educational versions of some of their software. Most people who use it on an non-professional basis just pirate it. Why not let those people get it legit, and when they're now using it professionally a few years later, they'll know how to use the latest Photoshop for their new job, and Adobe will then sell a license to his company. Makes business sense to me...
I bought Photoshop E2 at a store a few years ago, was like $65 new, so that was reasonable, and thats the last version to have clickable icons for simple tasks like undo so I'm still using it, found out you can simply dump in plugins from newer versions and most will work, but takes some trial and error since some can crash it.
Its a pain in the ass to disable the color profile thing though, that can really screw up png files like change reds to purple if it isn't disabled.
And my prob is sites that use flash objects to do simple things like file appending emails ( for like sending wips of commissions) like gmail tends to crash almost every time they update the flash version.
Then there's youtube, flash ads + having at least 2 tabs with a video waiting to play = unresponsive PC, which is BS since I can literally play 8 movies simultaneously while still browsing online.
adump is one of the famost tools -_-
then that made gmail stop working.
Somehow thats related to Adobe reader crashing in firefox which is nice, hangs the pc so I have to sever the browser and restart it.
But before that, A lot of the time youtube has been slowed down and frequently ignored the play, pause & seek buttons.
