So, yeah. Life kind of just cut through my last journal.
Well that practice went great. And by great I mean horrible. But that parade always is because only eight people show and half of them are freshman who don't know what they're doing. And for some reason my director thinks it's smart to have three tenor saxophones when we have one alto. I don't really get that. The other two tenors are weak, though; that could be why.
I forgot to mention about the fast: I've been journaling as Aaron Roo suggested. It's going alright but sometimes I skip a day or two and it gets hard to remember what happened when. Instead of Gregorian calendar dates I've been using the Islamic calendar which is kind of confusing but kind of cool and cryptic (to ignorant Americans, anyways).
My mother has been telling everyone she knows about it (as she does often about me and my sister) and a lot of them are proud that I kept going this long, which is encouraging. A couple of times she got messages like "Make sure he doesn't go Muslim" or what else which is kind of dickish. People don't even understand the religion and bash it anyways. (I'm not going Muslim, anyways.)
I'm thinking about selling my soprano saxophone for either a composition program or a tenor saxophone. I would really like a tenor but I know that getting Finale or Sibelius is a higher priority.
I want to wait a year before going to college. I think it will be easier, seeing that I need to audition and/or have an original musical portfolio. Both of them will take an amount of time. One college even requires the music to be performed on a live recording. Which of course is ridiculous.
Fox Amoore got two new songs out since I've been gone. I've added "The Shola Drum Dance" to my Windows Media Player. He inspires me so much musically.
Closets suck. I wanted to get out before school started but that isn't going to happen. Instead, I think I'll wait until some boring part of my life so it isn't extra stressful to tell my mother and work from there.
I also keep wanting to draw but I never do. I just realized that I never posted my last five drawings. Maybe I will later. That is all.
