Do you have a tongue ring?? [please read if you do!]

Do you find you have to brush your teeth more with a tongue ring?
Or rather, your whole mouth more?
If I don't brush my whole mouth a lot, it starts to smell. Like, not a rotten smell or infection, but a funny smell. I notice it a lot when I put my fingers in my mouth, I smell it on my fingers. Or when I stick my tongue ring out of my mouth and up towards my mouth. My brother said he doesn't notice it, and he's not just bein nice, he would straight up tell me if he noticed it.....
Is it just me and my paranoia?

The smell isn't terrible or anything like that, I just never noticed it before I got my piercing lol
