So I just got back from EF 2010 and there is something I really would like help with. LANGUAGES! I was desperately embarrassed that I could not talk back to a large number of Artists and furries at the con as the only language that I was able to speak was English therefore I am putting out this plea. If there are any furries out there with a good grasp of both English and German that would be willing to take the time to teach me how to talk at least conversation level German I would be really really grateful. I figured I would start with just text but if people are willing I would like to eventually extend this to Skype conversations to help me talk and learn :) well, hear is hopping
in my eyes English, being the world language, shouldn't act as a barrier but rather as a bridge when it comes to languages. sure it's nice to speak some German when you're at a con with mainly krauts there, but if people don't speak English, then it's their problem and not yours. at least that's my understanding.
having said this, i sure am not a teacher, but if you wanna have a little chat with a german native and eventually learn something along the way, feel free to add me to an IM :-3
