It was, but out of curiosity, I watched the trailer for the sequel. I don't really care what happens to the baby; I'm just afraid something awful is going to happen to the dog. That's what turned me off to "Hollow Man"...well, that and Kevin Bacon.
You know, I really liked Paranormal Activity. Part of the experience for me was seeing it in a crowded theatre where everyone is buying into it. It's really fun to be a part of this shared experience, where people are jumping or shrieking at the same moment.
As for the merits of the movie itself, I think it's clever enough. I'm not sure how well it holds up under hype or repeated viewings, though. And as bad as it looks, I'm a bit of a sucker for "found footage" type cinema...so I'll probably see the second movie too.
