She does. Whenever I have a picture of him out, she tells me that I need to draw him more! Well, she'll be happy, then, as I really need to get to work getting to work on his character a bit. I feel kind of bad because in the first issue of Hybrid, he was only in one shot. Granted, it was a full page shot, but still, it was just one time. ...and I think I've drawn him all of two times since I decided that he was going to be a part of the group. In contrast, Cougar, who I brought back from the dead, has had a LOT more face time than he has.
SO!
I gotta work on my dear Bear a bit more.
...hmm...actually, we have bears at the Bronx Zoo. They're really rambunctious this time of year, too. Maybe I'll head out there on...hmm...Monday and study them for a while. It'll help me get some inspiration for him and it'll help me get him anatomically correct...er...well, as anatomically correct as an anthropomorphic bear can get In particular, I want to get his muzzle and ears right. If I can do that, then that'll make me happy
Alright! I'm actually quite hungry. It's time for some beef bacon (yeah, BEEF...it's what's for breakfast) and...hmm...maybe waffles. ...although, I need to eat those eggs before they go bad, too. Hmm...maybe I'll use them to make macaroni salad. YEAH! That's the plan! I'll have a bear-ish meal to get me in the mood to draw him ...ah...just NOT a bear-sized meal
See ya!

to breakfast!AWAY!!!
I've only ever seen a bear in the wild ONCE, and that was from a car. Come to think of it, it was about this time of year too. Big black bear. Lovely shiney coat and running away from the road at full tilt.
That's as close as I ever want to get to a bear. I've got a story that a college friend of mine used to tell about the time he accidentally hit one with his VW bug. The bear was fine - fine enough to totally trash his car and wouldn't let him out for hours.
Mind you, I'd be mad too if I was hit by a VW
I've never seen a bear in the wild, although, I know that black bears come down from the mountains all the time in New Jersey and even here in New York in parts of the Bronx and Queens...not so much Brooklyn, though We've got 4 young bears at the zoo and those are the only real living bears I've seen, really.
Your neck of the woods is just lush with beautiful wildlife and vegetation. I so gotta visit! In the meantime, I totally gotta write you a letter
Personally i appreciate pretty much every picture of a bear i find around here - we are such an underrated species.. just cuz we don t have fancy tails or whatever.. *shrugs*
Thank you!

Ice cold bear.
Yeah, watching animals can make anthro's look more like their intended species, especially for the muzzles and ears. Can be a good idea. :)
Have fun in the zoo.
