<Blizzcon> Worgen intro cinematic.

Not as action-packed as the goblin cinematic, but definitely dark and moody to fit the worgen!

Kinda like amish country in a sense
Godfrey is pretty bad ass here, I have to admit, love his voice, his cloak and his top hat. I am a bit pouty about that there was no female Worgen appearance in this video which simply proves Blizzard still hasn't made up their minds about what exactly to do with the bitches.
Good video which fits perfectly, but like many many others... I expected more interesting things to be shown during this panel at Blizzcon.
Thanks for sharing!
Also, yeah, though there is the thing with the way the goblins were portrayed in the cinematic. They already had the superior facial expressions like I said since the beginning, whereas the worgen.. well, there isn't much you can do with them yet at that point in the story. Your character is feral at this point, hidden away in a dark cage.
However, now I wonder wether or not there'll be male/female variations in these worgen cinematics. The goblin cinematic didn't have the problem, since we only had no-name NPC's and Ace take the lead. Yours was nowhere to be seen. :<
But then every company makes their mistakes. I can only hope they learn from it in the future...
I was already wondering if we would see our goblin character in the cage, if the goblin calling out for help is actually your character or just an NPC that is getting a bit of the spotlight before he drowns... or the likes.
Is the Worgen in the cage actually your character or is this just a glimpse of what happened to the feral Worgen that got captured in the forest? Hard to say... If they go with 'random Worgen lol', I would be disappointed as that is an easy way out. Still, it will take quite a bit of coding from Blizzard's side to have your customized Worgen appear in such a cinematic.
They will be talking about the dances in the art panel which starts in less than 20 minutes. Maybe there we'll get to see some more of the animations and what not of both the Goblins and the Worgen. The male Worgen were actually pretty expressionate like the Goblins, or the Alpha model was. They had a lot of feeling and emotion in their faces and with their ears. Not sure if that remained the same with the updated model, I'll have to check that out in Model Viewer.
Still, I have yet to see the wide array of emotions a goblin can show on a worgen model. Though that's mostly because of the perma-snarl they have on their face.
About the goblin cinematic, it's the "best friend" character Ace who you pick up with your car early on in Kezan. (regarding picking up friends, your racial hobgoblin bank is also one of the friends you pick up during the same quests). It struck me when I wanted to check wether or not your own character appears in the cinematic, but the moment I saw Ace's clothing, hairstyle and color, even the face and hue of his skin, I knew it must've been him. ^^;
Worgen are a bit iffy with the ears right now. The males are decent enough, but the females need to have their position changed to the top of the head. Right now they're on the side like human ears, it makes them look... strange. :s
Yeah, speculations of the female Worgen having Goblin ear placeholders have been fluttering about, but I don't see many resemblances between those ears, thus making me believe that the ears we see are the actual ears meant for the female Worgen. At the moment, in my non-beta Model Viewer, the ear option doesn't even work, leaving the female Worgen with two holes at the sides of their head ._.
The current model for the female Worgen has more ties with humans than the male model does with her standing up straight, having human-like eyes, eyeshadow, prominent eyelashes and the ears there where a human has them. I wonder if Blizzard does this on purpose to make the females more fairer, like a Beauty and the Beast syndrome.
In my opinion, the beer belly and strangely shaped behind has to go (which I am sure they will) and the head needs many adjustments; muzzle, eyes and ears. I even went and made my own edit of what I think could be changed without overhauling the current (released) model all too much as some people were tossing out their opinions with sketches and what not. http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/.....le_myedit2.jpg
while it is rather lame, it has a very, very good atmosphere.
and i'm not gonna go longer than that because then it'll just be alot of personal preference blabber about how i don't really care for worgen.
Both seem like interesting races, but I think I'm leaning more towards the Goblins myself.
The Worgen intro had a lot more back story and at least alluded to what kind of past the players character has. Even though it wasn't as visually appealing it had more story and information which is what you need in a lore-driven game.
That being said,
For the Horde! I am and will forever be Forsaken!
