Vault 34 is where Rule 34 takes place.

go down in the overseer's office chair stairs, down in those depths theres another terminal to control, or lock out. personally that place spooks the crap out of me (high rez, max settings, 5.1 sound) and couldnt be happier. It also seals the radiation vents for another quest to save a farm.

I ran into this issue myself - on the same wall as that terminal is a door leading to the reactor room.

Yeah, finally found it. I like that it added a whole 30 seconds to the quest :P

you have to go allll the way down to the core and activate it from the reactor itself. then they have a decision that's BIGGER bullshit, and you nearly die of radiation down there.

Oh. and ranger morales' body? I hate that thing so much. I carried that fucking corpse halfway across the mojave and no one would take him.

If you follow the instructions, they say take the corpse across the tracks to the north. It's literally a stone's throw from where you find the body. There're two soldiers at a barricade there who'll take the corpse.

there were people close by? I thought they meant camp golf. I had gone to the tracks and there were a few NCR bodies there.

Huh. Yeah, if you go directly north from the corpse there are train tracks, and right north of the tracks, like a meter, there's a road that strays to the left. There's a pile of sandbags about a hundred yards down, with 2 lone soldiers there.

by the way. did you make sure to find the computer panel that controls the plumbing? you can drain the flooded areas, but you have to dive into them first and pick the passcode from the bodies floating around in there.

Vault 34 is horribly convoluted, i had over 900 rads when I escaped from the place after completing it.

I do dread for vault 34 in hardcore mode, it got to be brutal.

I went into it while still having only leather armour (Have yet to find anything better short of murdering NCR and I'm trying to avoid that right now). Pretty damn rough. I eventually pulled out and will have to go back later with some better armour, and a hell of a lot more rad away and rad X. Hard mode rad away takes a lot of time to reduce rads and your taking additional rads while it's working so you just about have to constantly use a pack unless you have really good radiation resistance.

The upside is that companions seem to be immune to the radiation, the downside is they refuse to not run after the enemy and pull even more big huge hordes of zombies.

Honestly the best tactic I found was to use Shotguns, SMGs, Grenade launcher and mines.

Boy, and I thought I was having it rough in EQ2 when 3 Ancient Briarstone Skeletons would 'bone' me simultaneously... lizard tails can't take that kind of abuse... I had to rez back at the camp...

havent bin there yet, but now vault 11 in the overseer underground, first time, got ripped a new one...

though i feel a little sadistic when i laughed my ass of, when i found out what they had done in vault 11 and what they actually should have done XD

lol i walked out with 437 rads and i never saved or died

just started this game today :3 i'm really liking it alot better than 3 so far.

The overseer's desk should be raised with stairs gown down to a flooded portion. Eventually you will get to the reactor. And btw make sure to look for a named gun lying on the floor in the armory. Once I found one in the locked gun box I thought that was it and almost bypassed my current primary gun.

Has anyone played F3 AND NewVegas?

if so, can someone tell me if Vegas is actually any different (beyond, y'know, a slightly browner colourscheme) I liked F3 but I don't want to cash out on Vegas if it's just Three in a new city

New Vegas is quite an improvement. Wastly better design and far more varied areas. My main complaint with f3, is that it was too generic, endless expanses of cutnpasted ruins.

Also theres new features, weapon and ammo modding, a diverse faction system. Far better followers and control over them. An ungodly number of quests compared to f3.

On the record, there are some 200+ Quests. Also, Vault 34 was relatively easy when I stumbled through it. Displacer fist + Veronica + upgraded eye bot. Walked out with 72 rads.

Thats to be expected in such a big game. Give it time and they will iron them out.

Personally I only had one bad bug with Veronica becomming unresponsive after her follower quest and had to do a workaround to fix it.

Had a few crashes after long gaming sessions, memory leaks.

I play the steam version, so the game autoupdates.

scorpions....they freak the hell out all the time for me when they die....

but oh god the worst i've had besides freezing was cmming out the back end of helios and hear a loud banging.....suddenly a dog appears and boone is standing atop of it... i move away and turn back 2 more dogs and mole rats spawn........boone kills them all....

I just got it last night, played it till about four then fell asleep. I've only gotten through launching the rockets. Night kin and Freaking space ghouls ...what next four armed death claws that can travel at the speed of sound?

my mate finished GI Blies no problem but I haven't gotten to that point personally; all I can suggest it check the notes for the quest, look at your map for the waypoint, and if that doesn't help look it up online.

it feels like a fallout game though, where fallout 3 felt like oblivion with guns. I love this one.. I just beat the game a few minutes ago.

Transfer controls inside the reactor and open vents from inside room. This will kill the people inside, but gives you NCR karma
