I Survived FurFright...
My first experience at FurFright (my very first con ever) was... okay. Not great but not terrible either. I did get to keep a journal of my experiences at FF, but most of it is pretty mundane and trivial so I'm not going to bother sharing it here. XP
I did manage to snag up Lions, Tigers & Bears vol 2 and the Circles 1-7 compilation, though. Too bad they didn't have the rest of the Circles comics bundled up together, I like compilations more than individual comic books more. :P
Met my good friends Fuskr and Gryphon at the con. We hit it off pretty well. Would love to spend more time with them outside the con, but with my terrible sense of direction? I dunno, hehe. I should get a working GPS sometime soon.
Would I go back to FF? I dunno. Hopefully not alone next time, and I'd best remember to bring a communication device (iPhone or whatever) to be able to keep in touch with my friends.
In short, I would give my experience at my very first con a low 60's out of 100.
Just so glad to be back home... and sleeping on an actual bed and not a cot, hehe. X3

Cons are a lot more fun when you have someone to go with or meet there. Always have a phone or some other way to communicate handy, just hoping to run into someone never really works unless you know they'll be at certain places at certain times (like artists, etc).

OP
Yeah, sometimes you just have to go through an experience to better prepare yourself. At least I now know how to handle it for the next time... if I ever decide to go again, that is.
