what's the difference between a murrsuti and a fursuit?

A murrsuit is generally used to refer to a suit that people "yiff" or have sex in. A fursuit is most of the time used to fursuiting and does not ever see peoples nether regions

I suppose only if it's a private adult convention. But it should be something specifically for that type of suit. I'm not into suiting myself, either way. But I have no problem with people wearing them. There should be limits on such things, though. And in the case of sex suits, it really needs to be kept away from children or generally just people who don't want to see it.

or is PROPERLY cencored by pants, not thongs, then in my opinion there should be no problem with them at all.

As for my 2 cents, What people do behind closed doors is no issue so long as its legal/moral. And as long as its clean n covered, i see no problem.

I would still find it nasty if someone said "Hey I had sex in these clothes last night!" after they gave me a hug or something. Washed or not, there is still something gross about it. It's like hitting someone with a dildo you've used and thinking it's okay just because it's clean.

Keep in mind fursuits can't be cleaned the same way clothes can. The fur has all those little fibers and backing in it that can absorb bodily fluids and would have to be scrubbed (not just rinsed) out. What if the head and the bodysuit have foam in them that just happens to absorb some of those bodily fluids? You can't really wash foam very well and if it's seeped far enough into a suit, you are not going to be able to wash it out completely no matter how hard you try.

That is assuming that most "murrsuiters" actually WASH their suits of course. I've heard rumor that people only "spot clean" them. Ugh!


This is where it falls on whether it's acceptable or not in general. A lot of people (as indicated here) just simply don't want to be touched with those things. It's nasty and we don't want bodily fluids, or the possibility even, of them touching us! What people do behind closed doors is there business as long as it doesn't hurt anyone, but please keep the sex suits there!

How common ARE these, and where do they show up? I've never seen one in four years of FC and three of RF, which included lots of private room parties. Honestly, I can't imagine sex-in-suit being fun; a good part of the fun in sex is skin-to-skin contact, and a fursuit doesn't feel like you have real furry skin. Not to mention the heat generated...oh, the heat. MY suit is just a head, paws, tail and street clothes, the head is lightweight and has a fan in it, and I STILL can't imagine goin' at it wearing that.

Like I said, I've never seen a fursuit with strategically-placed holes. Ever. Not to say they're not out there (I've seen a photo of one, once) but...are they ever seen in public areas at cons? If one shows up, I say tell the wearer in no uncertain terms to put it back in their room. They come out with it again, ban 'em for the rest of the con.

A few years ago, some guy posted to my local Craigslist. He said he was a furry who'd just moved to the area, he had a crotchless fursuit (a purple panda!) and liked to run around in public parks wearing this. He asked others with crotchless fursuits to join him. After a bit of digging, I found that this same exact "I just moved to <local city>" ad had been posted to Craigslists across the whole US - it was a troll post.

I don't think they are very common, but they do show up. I know there were at least four that showed up at AC last year and walked around the convention area. I've also seen several pictures of different local outings where suits have been worn and were walking around hugging children. I saw a picture of a murrsuit hugging a bride and groom a long time ago. Rumor was that he was at the park and they asked him to come over for pictures. They had no clue what that suit actually was.

I was always told that if you see a full suit with pants on, don't go near it because there is probably a S.P.H under there. I doubt that's true in all cases but better safe than sorry I guess. I've also talked to several people who said they look up fursuit sex videos on Xtube so they can identify exactly who they need to avoid while at cons. It's a good, though really gross, idea.

GFood idea, though I'm not about to go on XTube to check. My suit isn't a full-body suit plus clothes; I have handpaws with sleeves up to my shoulders, head and neck, and tail. The rest is really street clothes, no fur under.

There might be those who do have a murrsuit but don't wear it to have sex in. As long as they have a pair of shorts on I think that would be acceptable provided that the shorts that they're wearing doesn't reveal that the suit is a murrsuit.
