Wow, I really used to suck.

I just picked through a bunch of my old sketchbooks and I was shocked to find out just how much crap they were full of. Like seriously, I drew some really bad stuff.
I'll be the first to tell you my art is terrible as it currently stands but my gawd some of these sketchbooks are just so bad. I hate complimenting myself but there's no way I can not tell myself that I've improved quite a bit. I dug through some of my stuff here on FA and even that shows pretty vast improvement. Bad anatomy, obviously rushed projects, complete disregard for certain techniques. It's like I had way too many ideas and didn't know how to pace myself when putting them on to paper. It really makes me want to go back and revisit some of them, maybe do them again with more patience and practice. I don't know.
Just thought of thought I'd share that. I'm probably going to burn these, ugh. I never want to look at them again.

Also, rushing is not necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes you do have to get the ideas down on paper. After you do, you can go back and weed out the bad things, clean up the good things, etc.
