4. Dishonesty. I can tolerate a lot; and I can be very understanding. But Dishonesty cuts me deep; and not just lying (you can be dishonest in many other ways) Betraying my trust in this way is the most surefire way to'no-longer-knowing's-me-ville'.

Whas the difference between pushy and assertive?
Anywho, being assertive has more finality involved (e.g. "This is how I am; and nothing will change me."), whereas being pushy is just short, being a progressive kind of action. ("You have to do this, and this, and this; cuz I say so!") Long story short, Assertiveness is putting your foot down, while being pushy is like nagging loudly.
But some people need the step by step instructions to remember what they're doing... I mean I understand no one really likes their other half to be like a mom or dad, but... 'Ell, even I need to be pushed sometimes.
I think what you mean is, Assertive is someone who controls themselves and by extension those around them have to bend, break, or avoid. Pushy is someone who controls others by force, but not by knowing what they themselves are, just what they want nao?
