well even if people arent friends they still can be acquaintances just dont count on them to be there when you need them. its good to have people you can do business with or trade with even if they dont care much about you as a person.Theres never a need to make enemies unless someone is out to mess with you.

These were not strangers, they were personal friends or people I thought were my friends. Thats what made it worse. i can handle acquaintances not liking me and talking smack about me but not people who claim to be my friends,

yes I understand.Im just saying dont be rash and make them enemies .Its actually good to know that someone is a friend or just an acquaintance .

Maybe it's better that you know how they feel about you now before you find yourself in a position where you need to count on them only to find out that they're not the friends you thought they were. It sucks for someone to claim to be your friend only to talk bad about you behind your back. Been there, got the t-shirt, etc. Nobody deserves to be treated like that.

Totally agreed on that... like I said it's better to know how someone feels about you sooner rather than later. ^_^

Ive had this happen to me before, when i told someone i was a furry, it was in high school and with people i had been friends with since elementary. Just goes to show, choose your friends wisely.

I've kinda had that happen with me as well. As well as people that have just used me because of the way I am.... So I now how it is. *Huggies* Hope that you feel better about that soon.

i'm always afraid to get into situations like that, because of it my social life is a lil bit limited, but whoever i call a friend, is trully a friend
i put rly low hopes in ppl around me to avoid these situations and to protect myself to be disappointed in sy

it however depends on what u heard, sometimes ppl say bad things just so they can defend their "tough respect", the poison of da internetz and real life
and if they meant it, you just leave them be, if they wanted to be your friend - or at least they wanted to look like it - they liked a side of you or wanted sth what they can no longer get
if they know what friendship is, they'll try to make things better, if they don't, then it's ppl who don't deserve to hang out with you and you would be better w/o them
