Feel free to read, do not bother replying if you are merely going to flame/troll or attempt debate, as debate on this site seems to do nothing more than start flames/trolls.

Once more, if you feel compelled to hit the submit button with something typed in merely because you do not agree with my point of view or stance, I urge you not too. Just hit the back button on your browser and act like you never saw this. Seriously it's the "Adult/Mature" thing to do.

I am also not looking for "I agree with you" posts. I'm just posting my thoughts. If you care to read them, great, but I'm not in anyway trying to widen the gap between sides, or fuel the flames.

I wasn't going to post anything on the topic until I saw an official post regarding the matter, however I keep seeing people posting journals about Sonic now all of sudden banned in regards to porn, people jumping ship and people belittling each other over a fetish of man made drawn fictional art.

This is why I am anti censorship, sure feel free to say/do what you want, but also take responsibility for it, you reap the reaction you get.

I've sent notes to quite a few people and even posted in the actual journal of a few who posted that Sonic Porn is now banned as well, and as of the posting of this journal I still have 0 links to an official statement from Dragoneer on the issue in specific to Sonic (or Pokemon/Digimon for that matter, as they are already being named).

If you jump ship, jump, don't' delete your galleries though please, definitely leave where you are going though so we can follow. I'd rather urge you not to leave, especially since there isn't an official word yet, but if you do, please let us know where.

This site, at least in my observance and to myself, has always been about artistic freedom, not about money. And I have to say that the artistic freedom, in regards to this site is indeed going down the crapper. A choice made by the owner/operator, a choice I may not agree with, but is not mine to make.

I'm saddened by both the administration's actions and the actions of those condemning artists and watchers for their tastes, as well as those artists and watchers with the tastes for condemning back, the ones being hateful to begin with. I'm also saddened that people are wiping galleries and "jumping ship". Especially since, and I state again, there is no official post on the particular matter of anything being specifically banned other than the general statement of "Cub Porn". Though I do understand the concept of not sticking around because the site has made the choice for the community (which is their right, mind you) to not stick up for freedom to post the art they are free to make.

If someone has a link to an official statement by Dragoneer on anything other than the general "Cub Porn" ban, please link me to it. As I think we all know at this point, some admins can't keep their ***** mouths shut, even if it is something that will occur (or might). Additionally there are members on both sides of the issue, that are just out there to piss on the other side, and more than willing to start rumors. This is why I'd like to see an official statement.

In the time it took me to take a shower I already have a comment doing what I explicitly asked not to be done. I'm not going to hide the comment, I really am against censorship But please, do not reply to or comment about others responses to my journal, that's how the trolling/flaming starts.

So to the other points I wanted to make before I got pulled away. The point again here, is a choice was made, a choice that affects the entire community, not just one side, not just those involved with liking or posting a type of art. A window was opened that now allows the admins to remove, ban and reprimand users for alot more than just "Cub Porn". The lines have been blurred and yes, there will be alot of issues from this point forward. I look forward to seeing Dragoneer keeping his staff in line with sticking to the original concept of freedom to post content, as much as possible.

There were, and still are OTHER options available to the site owner/operator to implement to keep revenue for FA without having to choose to let corporations dictate what is and isn't allowed here. The site still allows several other forms of illegal/immoral (depending on where you reside and what you believe) topics to be posted with no issue, and it is NOT my intent to get them banned. The issue of Foreign policy also has other options rather than flat out banning content. I'm not debating the options. That's not the purpose of this journal. The point is, the administration made a choice and now we all have to live with it. Whether you leave, stick around, flame on the forums or going around shouting "HAHAHAHA my side won" Try to keep it civil. It's the immature imbeciles out there making this whole community seem atrocious at this point.

We don't have to agree with each other, but for goodness sakes lets show some semblance of decency.

My mini experiment is now over. Yes the comments that are above are indeed how I feel, but what I was doing here, was 2 things. I was indeed looking for a legit post by Dragoneer explaining FA's stance on fanart/sonic/digi/poke/etc as alot of people took some commentary and ran light years with it. The experimental part was I wanted to see just how many people would actually of their own occord, look at my request and honor it, and how many would ignore it and post anyway. The results are more favorable than I thought, I figured there'd be alot more moaning/thread linking and points of view shooting going on. I would summize that this means at least alot of my watchers that read the journal today, are more mature than alot of the riff raff playing flame wars in the forums.

I didn't censor anything. People pretty much policed themselves. I did add the " I don't want "I agree" Posts" after a few had already made it in.

Censorship, what I mean by I'm against censorship isn't necessarily about the spoken or written word. I do believe you have the freedom to write whatever you want, and I do believe you have a right to say what you want, but you also better be prepared for whatever is said/written back, or done because of your writing/saying. As to this site, I think Artists shouldn't be censored on what they write/draw/create. Journals and forums are a WHOLE different playground. People need to stop and think before they hit submit.

My journal is my place to state what's on my mind, without having to worry about some immature troll coming along to attempt to dig at me, or fuel a debate that will turn into a flame exchange. I don't want that here I want this account filled with orgasms, lizards and orgies. Love, not hate. I've also toned down what I post on other people's journals due to taking this stance.
