Just letting people know I'm not dead. Here is some seasonal small talk, just between me and you, internet.
MFF was fun, as expected. Thank you to everyone me and therian got a chance to hang out with, it was very chill and awesome. People have been asking about our next con, so the deal is we are looking at attending FE in Toronto in March but no promises are being made.
I am working my way through my obligations slowly but surely. I'm trying to balance personal/fandom art with working on my professional portfolio (have a job, trying to level up and score a better one) and other stuff.
Also weirdly I am sick for like the third time this year which is bullshit because usually my immune system is ~*AWESOME*~ but this year it has totally crapped out on me.
We have been getting a lot of snow, which the ten year old in me thinks is weee and the twenty four year old in me thinks is the suck. Last week we got three feet of that lovely celestial dumping, which, no I don't care if you omg love snow, three feet in two days is overkill.
Did you pick your holiday charity yet, FA? Talk about the hardest decision of the season :/ There's like toys for tots type things everywhere (at least around here) and I always end up wishing I could do more. I ended up doing Child's Play again because, holy crap what a good idea, plus it makes me :D that nerds can do something so nice. Our local children's hospital is registered on amazon so I picked them up a video game. Also did one of those ones where you take the tag off the tree, buy the present requested for the person listed, and send it back wrapped. Now I have to wrap a pillow pet. D: I guess I'll have to try to find a box for it, haha.
Am I totally lame for wanting my own pillow pet? Don't answer that.

I plan to be at FE again this year (it really was a fun little con last year), so I hope to see you there. However, my job is about to evaporate (again...), so I'm hoping to have another reliable paycheck lined up before con season starts up or it may put a damper on things.
You're a class act, and a charitable person too! Keep on doing your thing and here's to getting better.
As for pillow pets.... I'd totally get a lamb xD

Also, sorry to hear about the immune system thing. Sickness sucks(especially when you get bedridden for it...) <.<;

Maybe we'll look at FE, but I doubt we'll be there. Saving up to have a super awesome IFC next August ;)
You should totally get a pillowpet. I would have one if the unicorn was less horse-like, or if they had a raccoon to go with her.
As for snow, this is my third year wintering in a snowy clime and I think I'm about done with the stuff. If only there were an easier way to make walkways safe... I need to invent some sort of automatic snow-removing device.
Don't feel compelled to overextend yourself conwise. I don't know if we're even going to go for it, just something we're feeling out (mostly because it's driving distance).
Also you pretty much are describing the plot of Frosty Returns. Don't kill snowman John Goodman plz :/
I am maybe a little too discerning of a unicorn enthusiast, I kinda wish it didn't bug me as much as it does when I think there are problems with the way a unicorn is being depicted. I used to be so flexable.
I think we've decided to stay at home until we've paid for the wedding, or until Tin's art takes off enough to pay for us attending conventions. We're working on business stuff for his art, but don't tell anyone yet :p
2nd I can understand completely about keeping your personal/fandom artwork seperate for a portfolio. I have to say I am so jelous of you at least. From the sounds of it, you have an art job. I have been trying to get any art job since I graduated. Sadly no one want's my art style and even worse where I am living. I can just say that they don't know what art is *Because of lack of art* It's mostly farmers and construction workers here *Cries in the courner*. So good luck improving your portfolio.
3rd Sorry to hear about you getting sick again. That does suck. Well on the bright side you won't get sick again for the rest of the year. Hopefully. And hopefully it will be a very long time before you get another flu.
4rth. NO FREAKING FAIR!!! STOP HOGGIN ALL THE SNOW!! send it down to me XD That is awsome about the snow. I honestly have never seen it snow about a quarter of a foot where I live. In fact I think the record snow fall for a year is a quarter. I love the snow. But we just don't get it here.
5th the charity is a tuff one. I iwhs I coudl help them all. Sadly I am pretty much helping my parents with their charities. Them being military, I help them with a lot of military organizations and stuff.
Finally It's not weird at all having a pillow pet. I would have one myself, if they had a better solection XD
