Last night I made falafel for gerrark, flir, and mouthrot (and Mouf's roommates), all of whom had never had it and most of whom really liked it! While wearing a skirt.
I cooked bacon pizza :D I baked the pizza in the iron pan that I cooked the bacon in for EXTRA FLAVOR. Pizza is fun but the dough needs to be made the day before.
Just as good as a pizza stone in my opinion, and something that you're more likely to already have lying around. I've never tried using corn meal or flour on the pan, generally I use grease, usually the grease left in the pan from whatever toppings I cooked in it before prepared the pizza. Because iron pans take a while to heat up, after I prepare the pizza in the pan I put it on a burner set to medium or so to heat up the pan before putting it in the oven. If your cheese tends to brown before the crust is cooked, leave the pizza on the stove top a little longer to give the crust a head start before putting it in the oven.

But no really I wanted hand pies like we all had as a kid only not encrusted with hoards of sugar and blackberries were on sale here so I was like HOOYAH YES. Only every single friggin time I make pie dough it fails miserably so I am definitely gonna use pre-made pie dough cause it's like god
Dude I know right?? And the best part is it's like a pie so when you bake them off you can just store them at room temperature instead of freezing them and worrying about having to bake them in time later (cause I'm way too lazy to plan that far ahead). I mean they'd probably last longer in the fridge but honestly I doubt they'd last more than a week they look so good.
And such an easy recipe too!
