Good news/where I've been.
Okay, I know I take a long LOOOONG ASSED TIME to get things done. Most know this and know ME (and know that even though the time is ridiculous I am not one to stiff on art. I'm just a slowpoke due to health and other circumstances)
So before I get into the good news, I just want to ask people if I owe you something, please comment here so I can confirm the work and build a schedule to complete it without overloading myself. More than likely I have started/half finished your work and ended up sidetracked by something else or the issues mentioned above. With that being said I will no longer be taking commissions for the foreseeable future.
NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS.
I've been AWOL because I have essentially wrapped up my career in glass blowing. Its just not for me, and to pay the rent I have been working on a fantasy comic for one of my Marine friends which brings me $150 a week or so. Enough for now to keep my head above water. The reason for this is that I have been expending blood, sweat and tears to break into yet another artistic trade: tattooing. I've been around town passing out portfolios on a CD after building a considerable amount of flash art and other bits to impress the local body modification community. It didn't work out for the months I tried, I got a lot of "You're a phenominal artist but I just am not taking apprentices" and so on, and so forth. Honestly, it's kind of a boy's club or you have to know a guy who knows a guy or at least be the guys friend if you want to make it into this field. So for a while it was actually kind of hurting my feelings with how much I was being rejected day in and day out. I even got a new piercing just to have an excuse for hanging around the shop I considered my only lead...which fell through. ^^
But! Just the other day a tattoo artist and friend of one of my longtime homies approached ME and essentially offered me an apprenticeship situation better than I could have possibly imagined. In the next 1-3 months I will be working with James Eubank for free (FREE) and on the "fast track" to becoming a tattoo artist as he said "You already know how to draw. 6 months to working level would be a modest time frame for you). Obviously, I couldnt be more excited. There IS some justice in this world.
So! Clearly, once I start doing this and if the shop picks up (or better, goes to a better location) I shall be making enough money to maybe get myself some health insurance. Which, in turn...means I can get the leg tumor out and improve my health. I also plan on buying more supplies as I have been approached with some publication/guest art offers from other and more accomplished artists. In short things are finally looking up. There IS in fact some justice in the world.
So, with that being said! Leave your comments. I clearly have a lot of work to do in order to finish my queue and give everyone what I owe them. And yes, I will still be submitting art here from time to time and trying to keep up with FA. You might even see some of my first tattoos in the coming months. :3
keep a look-out!

BONUS: Keep in mind the queue above in my information is just an outdated Iron Artist list. My actual queue is private.

And thank you!
So, I was curious if I could change it anyway or shall I try and wrassle those all up again? :o
Also, glad to hear you got your foot in the door! I tried to do that about 4 months ago and I kept gettin' doors shut in my face as well. Glad to hear that you made it though! That's so awesome :D
Out of sheer curiosity, what state is the shop actually in?
And since It seems to be coming up in these replies, am I on the sekrit queue? :O
