Because I can:

I had a chance to work on it for a few more hours today, and things are starting to get along pretty nicely. The framework's done, as is the basic character creation system, but I've still got attack creation and the entirety of the battle system left ahead of me, which is plenty of work. Still, I'd say I'm on track to release at the end of the month, assuming I'm not too distracted by the holidays.
As always, feedback and ideas encouraged. (Part of what keeps me motivated with this project is imagining what y'all will do with it :P)

My work environment is pretty barebones -- just a text editor and the command line (TextMate and Terminal, respectively). I like keeping things simple. Besides that, I use Heroku for free hosting, which is an incredibly convenient solution as long as they don't ever randomly decide to shut me down. (I'm pretty sure I don't violate their TOS, but I'm keeping an eye out for other options just in case.)
If you're curious to see the inside, I can throw a beta invite your way -- the site ain't exactly functional yet, but there's enough there to be interesting. And as a fellow dev, you'd probably be good at testing it/trying to break it :P Lemme know if you've got any interest.
I have a hard time balancing school (Computer Wise Woman stuff), writing (Porn! :D ) and coding (Python). So I would love a chance to read more source. Ruby is on my list of "that looks really neat, I should check it out!"
