We should remember the real tragedies of 9/11, like all the kids whose birthday parties were canceled.

The REAL tragedy is that I was in 8th grade and was trying to do my homework for the next class in study hall when it happened. That was the ONLY assignment I missed in my Earth Science class D:

One of my better friends turned 18 that day. He couldn't even go out and buy his first porn or anything. It was horrible! We all cried.

Historic holidays are an enigma to me. Independence Day, for example. A day to kick back, grill some brats and toss down some brews.

No mention or remembrance of those who fought and sacrificed in the revolutionary war.

No tribute to 9/11 would be complete, imho, without remembering foreign policy as it relates to the Middle East, going back about ... oh ... 1500 years.

If we stop to remember 9/11, I propose we stop to remember, all across the US, the day the Revolution started and its tragedies, the day it ended, the day the Civil War started and all its tragedies, and possibly even the day some kid dropped his ice cream cone, because that's just about as important.

I laughed when it first happened, but I'm kinda against anything patriotic.
Everyone was doing the pledge in school, and then the announcement played, and everyone was all sobbing, and I just laughed x3

I believe that the highest form of patriotism is to protest and fight, not be some pussy who waves the flag all day and night and wears sports jackets with it on it (which by the way, is degredation of the flag :D)

It's my mother's birthday. Now that sucks.

If it weren't for it, the public wouldn't have originally supported bush in invading/bombing Iraq and going there in the first place. With it, congress felt pressured to give in to the President's will, and now we're seeing the reprocussions of it all.

I can't mourn over it because I didn't lose family, but I can care less for what it resulted in. e_e;
