An Update, V
Maybe it's time for one of these again.
I had my two auditions. My first one was last week Thursday at UW-Eau Claire. I think it went well! First I did a piano placement exam, and the music I was presented with was pretty easy. Then was an aural exam where they gave me some eight measures of music, played the first chord and told me to sing the whole thing. I totally bombed that! Haha. That part wasn't really important as far as acceptance goes, though. The last thing, of course, was my actual audition. I think it went well! They first told me to play A-flat and B major scales which I did okay-ish on. Then I did my solo (which was Chanson et Passepied by Jeanine Rueff) and that went super smoothly. The last thing was some sightreading, which went okay, though I took it on a little too fast.
My UW-Madison audition was just this morning. The first thing was my actual audition (at 8:40AM, :X) and that went just as well as my UW-EC one. They had me play E and E-flat major and D minor scales, and they didn't have any sightreading, which sort of surprised me. Then I had my piano placement, where the lady said that I would probably be placed in Piano 101 just because I didn't know my fingerings for scales but if I were to study them by August I could probably test out. My last thing was a music theory exam, which was kind of hard because I never studied it extensively before (not including Music Appreciation in 6th grade, but really, 6th grade). I think I did enough educated guessing, though (though I did know for sure a little less than half of it). Passing that test is critical for acceptance, and I guess 50% of people pass it the first time, but there are chances to retake it.
Other than that, a recent flux of short stories on Lion-Dog Works' forum has made me consider taking a stab at it. Whether I will or won't depends on if I have time (not doing homework or scholarship essays).
Speaking of which, I need to work on an essay like right now.
Also speaking of which, my new semester is loaded with homework every night which kind of blows. My schedule is this:
1st: Physics
2nd: Calculus
3A: Band
3B: Choir
4th: College Prep English
Calculus issues work daily, while English and Physics seem to take turns. I think I'll get used to it, though.
This is all for now, I believe.

They are fun to read! Even the ones that suck sometimes. Haha. I'm not sure yet if I will actually do one, or what it will be on. We'll see.
