Furries and their "ORIGINAL" characters
It's all bullshit you know?
Sooo let's say you are an 'artist' you draw a red fox with one marking.
you write just below the fucking picture "original character, do not steal"
HOW THE FUCK IS THAT ORIGINAL YOU TWAT?!
ok anyone who has a character [or 'sona'] and you haven't created the species yourself, or its an animal that already exists, you are not being original, sorry to burst your little fantasy bubble.
Another heads up, I'm getting proper pissed with furries now. You are all full of shit 99% of the time.
Half of you trace
most of you claim original characters that are FAR from original
and almost all of you have a character that in NO WAY resembles yourself.
if you weigh like 200lb and your character is some tiny 100lb creature, you are not portraying yourself, you are pretending to be thin, and you are creating a false image.
I'm so sick of furries, I am sad to classify myself with all of you furries that aren't at least attempting to be honest.
My sona is a female white tiger with my body type, my hair colour, and my style, and a name that I think is neat.
My character is not original. Use as you please.
and to all you twats who are pretending you are something you are not. PISS OFF!

FA+

god i hate most furries now.
but let me also be clear if someone HAS a good reason, i will obviously not give them a hard time about it.
and my females are pretty much just characters I wanna see drawn in an artistic fashion or just feel whoring out to get fucked
and mainly the people that trace, steal, and or claim is original when it CLEARLY isnt
i'm fine with tracing when their just doing it for fun but if their making a profit off it then its fucked up
meh their just portraying what they wish they were. Or just something they want to exploit for sexual images to fap to
fapping and not hitting the reply button lol
Originality and species aren't really one in the same. Keep in mind though, with the 'original character, don't use without permission' comments I've seen, it was really about direct association with them. I.e. Snowflake the panda is a regular looking panda girl, draws clean art, and doesn't want people saying 'check out this tentacle rape porn, now with 20% more 'feces pieces candy' style scat porn, the character snowflake is property of (account) and look what an e-slut she is.'
That makes sense, but it's the people that hint, hedge and outright claim that their fursona represents them that are truly being deceptive. It's the 'my character is a lot like me in some ways...' when they mean that they both love chocolate, or the type that goes 'not everyone in the fandom is ugly' in defending what they really look like. That one gets me twice over, first of all, large body types do not equate to ugliness in my book. Second of all, those statements don't say how you look, they just try to imply it on your profile page in hopes you'll ASSUME they're similar to their fursona.
People don't actually have furry bodies and tails (unless they have interesting medical conditions), therefore by your 'body type' standard, they aren't being honest. I'm a teensy dragon, am i more original than some (though still not the first) but lying even more than others because I am most certainly not six inches tall with scales and wings? I get being upset with the facade people put up, the pretenders and the complainers, by the way. I will say this much though. I just don't see fursona as being an indicator of actual body type. As such I just...I can't dislike 99% of furries on basis of their fursona, so many of the furries I've met don't claim this.
In conclusion, so I can write you into a story where TigraFrostbite falls into a nest of pocket dragons and get pounded in every hole by dozens of pocket dragon tails?!?
Hawt +1.
U giv mi mindgasm. Kthx hai gud 2 miicha!
With everything else, it's just my comment, such as when "original character: don't use in your art" means "don't put me into your own art without permission" makes sense, but trying to lay claim to a type of body, species or marking, is just dumb. Similarly, like I said though I don't mind people having a fursona nothing like they're body type, I find it to be quite off-putting when they misrepresent themselves or try to imply they are different, such as putting in their profile "not every furry doesn't look like their fursona." when in actuality they don't, etc.
But about you not wanting to get pounded in every hole...but you SAAaaaiid...
"My sona is a female white tiger with my body type, my hair colour, and my style, and a name that I think is neat.
My character is not original. Use as you please."
See, you said I could use you as I please! I want you to be a bisexual cyborg sex ninja who has mastered the art of hump-fu, and whose power cells an only be recharged by giving blowjobs! What??
(I'm teasing :) And though I'm busy at the moment, let me know if you ever want to do an actual collaboration, artists and writers collaborating can lead to some interesting things after all. :) Great for getting the creative juices flowing)
I don't see anything wrong with any of your concerns in any way.
you write just below the fucking picture "original character, do not steal"
One thing I see too often is something where a person uses the "sona" concept to seem to escape reality and attempt to be something they are not. Granted many people admit that it is for fun, similar to enjoy a role playing video game; you can play as a different person all you want but at the end of the day you have to accept that it is just another reality within the actuality, its fun but it shouldn't be taken so literally. Furthermore, some people i've seen go so far as to change their name so repeatedly in real life to reflect the character in question, for me, i've had different sonas for fun but i've never changed my own name to their name, i've gone by maybe one nickname and my real name for the past 3 years and will continue to do so.
Now as you said, if someone can say they dont resemble their sona thats great. but to act like that is who they are on every level in waking life, it just isn't healthy I mean so many people take it literally like "omg look at it, they're so hot" and get this false impression of someone online. I'd prefer something that actually looks like me and is original, I often make up new types of species for characters for myself and in stories but they all generally have my traits perhaps in different clothing styles or resembling different emotions while retaining an aspect that is clearly myself.
On another note, because of how lost half of the people in the fandom are mentally, they get into the habit of portraying themseves so falsely that it becomes an addiction like "Oh look how big and strong and sexy I am, I clearly must look like this in real life!" they get tons of fans, attention, etc. But at the end of the day they are just a person so distraught they can't even see how dumb they look lying to themself and others; being original shouldn't mean being dishonest.
Thank for bringing this up Tigra, we need more people like you around here.
But I do agree about the "original character" bullshit.
