Why does it seem that people are so averse to posting a comment or such to older submissions? Be it art, stories, journals, or other such things... I notice that the artists and whatnot get more comments and posts in the first few days something is put up. When something is first posted it may get 200 views and, say, 15 comments in the first few days. Yet they all seem to stop even though people continue to view it WAAAAAAY pass the 200 or more mark.

Is there some unwritten internet rule that says commenting on an old post or submission anywhere is a taboo?
