The whole concept of journals...
It's kind of odd in a way, journals. Just these, freeform records of whatever occours to us. Art we've seen, problems we're having, fun events on the up-and-coming... all journals.
Even wierder, they're so asymmetric. They often share such trivial bits of our lives that it hardly seems worth the effort. I mean, in my life today, and just today, I'd say that my musings on the nature of the journal are one of the least important things to happen to me today, and yet here I write about them. Admittedly there is some topical relevance, but that hardly reduces the point.
Why do we write these little messages in bottles?
