Actually, the weather has been mildly complaintive. It would start to rain and then the pressure would shoot holes in the clouds.

I'm here at the sports park. And, I must say, it's not a very good choice for a meet. This place has activity, EVERYWHERE. It's all sports related. We'd be better off as a baseball themed team, in this place. Ronald Reagen is a better choice for having actual benches/tables. All I see here are fields, designated for various sports, swimming and a scene so full of activity, it's would fit a 'Where's Waldo' picture.

Glad they are providing free internet to learn the meet is cancelled with.

This place is so crawling with children and soccer moms that we would probably be very much out of our element. The attention could kill the concept, so easily.

I had never even driven this far up this particular street in all the years that I've lived around here.

Start ups are hard. It can take some time. Besides, this is _my_ backyard. I'm over here, almost every day.

Regan's park is not only better, it's almost within walking distance of work. :P

Another thing about R. Regan Park is that it's spread out. There's room to breath.

What I saw of the other sports park is that everything was compressed together. Baseball, basketball, skate, swimming, Boys & Girls Club, Jr. High School and more. Seemed like hundreds of people were all occupying that place, too.

I have to think of issues that furs can present in light of twitchy mundanes. A couple freak, especially when thinking of the safety of their children as an excuse and go running for their notion of safe and sane; 9-1-1. And, this place had pre-teens running around like an outdoor daycare center/playground.

Reagen shouldn't have this problem. Especially, once the group gets large enough. I also consider the library that's above it to be safe ground.

I've had to face off eight cops at one time over a twitchy mother. Balto (Wolf) had to face off FBI after starting up the San Diego meet. (Or, so he claims.) It's all a learning process.

I know that Temecula and surrounding areas have many furs. I've run across a hand full, over the years. Disorganized, shy, hiding in plain sight. The common reasons will make them hard to bring forth to a meet. So, don't lose hope. They are out there and very near by.

My work sells them pretty cheap, these days.

After work, I took a light dinner to RR Sports Park. It was quite busy. Yet, the seating area was set aside enough to feel quiet and reserved. Even with the families that had toddlers at play in the near-by playsets. Yes. This could work. Not sure if there's a second bathroom or not, though. As, the one I know of is between all the fields and rather a brisk walk away.

Think I'll go to Mulligan's for some arcade action. We'll see about how our crazy weather works out then, in this changing Earth of ours.

Anyhow, battery's about dead on this netbook.

^^; I take some responsibility on suggesting the Sports Park, if I was able to make it, it was slightly closer to me and the park out in Temecula was a a little far, but now that numbers are being swapped and all that, hopefully May's meet will be different w/better communication

After hitting a high jackpot on a ticket machine, I wound up adopting an owl. One of the wonderful Yomiko line. Also acquired 'Apples to Apples' card game. That one seems to be a winner at past meets.

Some of the wineries have tasting rooms. And, there's a 'friends of' that popped up under the mapquest I did over R. Reagan park. As for the furs...time and effort will tell.

The name Wine Country Furs Fur Meet came up by because some of the Furs are out in Temecula, and as we know, Temecula hosts "Wine Country"

Actually, the back part of Temecula, where all the wineries are is called Wine Country. it's a suburb
