skidd is kicking off.
Now.. I know for a fact that whenever someone mentions like.. a video game song they like, or the video game in general that I've played before.. I always like to talk about it and my experiences with it and memories with it! Of course my nostalgia is different from everyone elses. For instance...
I remember watching the Super Mario Bros Super Show when I was a kid.. and something I remember eatting was those cheetoh puff balls while watching.. I LOVE those memories of mine..
I am sure people can RELATE.. but not feel the same way I do about it...
SO ANYWAY...
This journal is made for THAT reason.. I KNOW that a lot of you guys like to talk about experiences and memories YOU'VE had.. and it's hard to stop talking about them once you start... so... I want you guys to list 3 (or less or more.. I dont have a limit) video game songs nostalgic to you and why you remember/like them so much. I am interested in hearing them.
If you could.. also link each song to a site so I can listen to them.. like youtube or something.
1. Mystic Quest
Mystic Quest on the game boy (aka Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest) was the first RPG I ever played, back when the Gameboy was a big, fat, monochrome screen handheld. With a battle system mixing up elements from Zelda (top view) and RPG elements (choosing which stats you wish to raise), I had a lot of fun playing this one. And the intro music always made me soooo sad!
2. Chrono Trigger
Chrono Trigger had a lot of great tunes, but I'll have to go with Frog's Theme, and World Revolution (I love the name alone). Frog was also easily one of my favorite characters, being the embodiment of knightly honor and duty. The Ye Ole English speak got a bit annoying at times in the original, but they removed that in the DS remake.
World Revolution... Well, it was the final bossfight, after the more dreary music of Lavos' memories, this one was just amazing to me. Fast paced, Plus Lavos looked awesome in it.
3. Star Fox: Lylatwars
Star Wolf. Need I say more? :D
4. Donkey Kong Country - King K. Rool battle theme
The final battle! After retrieving your precious bananas, its time to take out the big man! The music starts out as silly as he looks. He's easy at first, the music matches nicely with the pace of the battle.. things get more serious, and then the bass kicks in... <3 Good memories of DKC, GOOD MEMORIES!
Shadowman
Creepy... ominous... Shadowman was a weird, weird game, that inspired me nonetheless. It had a genuinely creepy, dark atmosphere. Twisted, perverted characters (serial killers).. Possibly one of the first "dark" games I ever played.

FA+

He was my favorite character too, screw turning Frog back to normal, I wanted the badass dark matter wielding dude with the huge Scythe.

Also, ROBORolling is the best kind of rickroll.
Oh my god. XD
