Screw you, fursona. Screw you.

I can't believe I'm still changing what I want my fursona to be. It's been months since MiDFur, and I still haven't decided! I'm beginning to wonder if I'll ever manage to decide what I want to be . . . I mean, after going through a crisis about what name I wanted to be known by, I went back to Moro for ease's sake, only to have stumbled across another name that I really love! But I'm scared to go by it in case I lose interest soon like all of the other names.
And don't get me started on species, please! ; ____ ; I feel like I've tested every animal in the kindgom: turkish van, leopard, generic rabbit, cape hare, peninsular pronghorn, (blue)black-backed jackal, and now wolf . . . and today, I watched a television show about the Auckland Zoo and they had otters - and I want to be an otter! I had a squidgeroo around dA to see if otters can be anthropormophised prettily, and they certainly can, and despite all of Chatts's arguments (namely, "but you won't have a floofeh tail!"), I'm finding myself drawn to otters.
But where will this lead? ; _ ; More changes, I'll bet. I'm probably just taking this too seriously, but I can't seem to find an animal that's right for me, and at this stage I'm too bloody scared to even try otter out, in case I just get bored of it because it's "not the one". >_< If I change to otter, too, I know I'll want to go by the new name in my head: Shizuka.
It just seems like so much damn fuss, though. I'm probably taking it all way too seriously, and I should just stay with Moro, stay with wolf, no matter how much I feel that I want to change, that they're not "right", because they're here now and ... >_< Aaargh. It's so hard to pick a name and an animal! I don't know how other people do it! Otters are so cute <3 but I've been through so many other animals in this short space of time that I know nobody will take me seriously.
What do you think, guys? Should I give otter a whizz? Am I taking this all too seriously?

Really, though, it's natural to hop around with this. You may be better off staying with your current species, or if you swap out, you may find a better match. Perhaps you could have multiple fursonas, at least to try each out? (I know a few people who do.)
A while back, before joining FurAffinity, I though I had myself pegged as a fox. That changed, though, and I gradually realized I was better-suited as a raccoon. The idea stuck, and, well, here I am today, though I there's still a nod to this in the "last name" I use, Fox. Names more fluxable*, as changing one doesn't require re-working your entire image. If you do decide to change yours, though, that doesn't necessitate a username change every single time... Heh. Don't take it all too seriously, though! Once you find your niche, you'll know it, even if it takes a while before you're sure. And once you have, even then, you may eventually find it's time for a change.
And yes, otters are cute!
* It's a word because I say it is. Like "gullible", the dictionary stubbornly refuses to acknowledge it.
