Art Fever?

For some reason I got up early today and decided I wanted to practice with pastel.... I sat at the table for about 2.5hrs and just.... drew. I played with pastel on a scrap sheet of pastel paper and realized I had oil pastels, which are harder to blend, so I abandoned the idea of pastel and just DREW for the sake of practicing realism... at least in the sketch form. I ended up averaging 25-30 minutes each sketch. I did a grumpy tiger, a howling wolf, a burmese mountain dog, a golden retreiver mix, and some kind of smaller/medium mix dog that looks beagle/terrier with tricolor like a rottie with a white chest.
It ranged from messy long fur to super short, and overall I can say I really love drawing canines!
Im going to put my foot up this afternoon, propped up outside in the sun for a few hours and relax, but now that i seem to be able to sit at the table for at least 2 hours, maybe once my nephew leaves on sunday I'll be able to work on those steampunk watercolor freebies I promised.
Also debating on getting some soft pastels, or doing the sketches in watercolors! Any idea what I should choose? Watcher input needed!!!<3
