Rodger Goodell = the devil
The owners = greedy and senial
NFLPA = getting soft and being too noisy(to an extent)

It was inevitable.

The same will happen with basketball, eventually.

Players are negotiating bigger and bigger paychecks based SOLELY on the fact that someone else got something similar. Owners then are charging higher and higher ticket prices, doing such tricks as selling seat licenses, which don't give you a seat, only give you the right to buy tickets for that seat, extending post season play, etc.

It's why I don't bother to follow professional sports, and why I was a lot of the stuff that goes on in college curtailed, INCLUDING the huge fees the NCAA charges. They are becoming hypocritical to demand college players receive basically nothing aside from tuition, room, and board, while they strong arm cities to build new stadiums for them or they will take their game elsewhere (see the College World Series and the City of Omaha).

I'll be honest, Rodger looked to be the ONLY one trying to get anything done, the ONLY one to put a fully drafted (let alone partial) proposal forward.

as for the owners, they dont have any REAL importance as far as labor talks imo.

I blame Jerry Jones and Jerry Richardson (Carolina Panthers owner), as well as the overall greed of the system. Richardson has been a staunch opponent to much of the player requests ("It's time to take back our league!") and Jones has always been fairly meddling and overbearing with his team. At least Biscotti wants change...
