Offering an artist Double, or even triple.
So for a while now on FA, there are quite a few artists I really like. Some are quite easy, then there are those who are fairly easy to commission, some a little more difficult, and still others that seem to just be a pain in the ass.
Now I'm not naming any names, or calling anyone a bad person or such, just that the way some do things makes it very hard for someone who works a baking schedule. (IE, 4am-8am shifts which means I'm asleep the vast majority of the day) There are times when I really want to note them asking about it, knowing the answer to my query. Only to respond offering them, double their price. (I normally -always- get full color, I don't particularly care for line art or sketches) Or hell, depending on the artist I'd be willing to offer them triple. Even if it was just for a reserved slot for the next batch of art they want to do.
As an artist, or a person that commissions art often. Do you think that's an ok thing to do? I haven't done it yet but it's getting to a point where I am starting to seriously consider it as an option. I realize if everyone did that, their prices would obviously change to reflect this, till people stopped, as a quadrupled( if they made the "double" from their original, into their new standard) Could be a fairly extreme price tag.

FA+

I've only done this a few times because well I REALLY wanted something from this artist. And surprisingly enough they went for it.
Mutually beneficial imo xD
But I have no personal experience as I just mooch off of people offering requests. I haz no monies. D:
