93.6 of 101.7 GB of the hardrive was accessable through standard means. the rest was damaged. fragmented or corrupted. mostly the OS and large programes which would have to be reinstalled on a new harddriev anyway
i am hoping all goes well. the drive never faultered once when i had it and it continued to protect my work even as i carried it on my person throughout the work day
the acer Aspire 5720Z is beyond even hope. but i will bounce back with avengance by upgrading and putting out for a solid state drive

devoted graphics memory... 1GB is standard but 512 is still good. always ask for devoted graphics. a lapp that can house a deoted card is good. but dont go nuts because there is a point where speed and power dont matter
