After three YEARS of trying, my BF finally moved from NY last weekend!

After Amtrak stranded him in Chicago for three days.

His photo ID'd expired, and we decided to wait till he got here to renew it.... Amtrak said that the other ID he had was more than sufficient, and he got on the trainin NY just fine.

Got to Chicago, suddenly it's no longer enough, and they canceled his tickets, and would only allow him a train back to NY.

After a few panic attacks, and a lot of me yelling at amtrak and the station manager, they finally agreed to renew his ticket and let him travel, IF he had a companion with a valid ID along as well.

Got a friend to tag along for the 49h trip here, and got them a return ticket too -- but all told I'm not only over what I'd set aside for the move, I'm $300 over what my income for the month is.

He's here, and he's SAFE finally... $300 in the hole is worth that. But I figured I'd throw out a journal, and ask if anyone'd be willing to donate a bit to help out?
