I need your opinions for making affordable/fair prices :3

Weeeell, I often get notes with ppl saying they like my art but-price is too high, which makes me feel bad D: Therefore I ask you-what would YOU be willing to pay for my latest submission http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5676869 as example? I am toying of the iron-artist-thing-idea with that style *yeah, I wanna buy my parents (who are the best in the world, ily, mom <3) an ipad for christmas-little early buuuuuut... you can't ever start planning too early haha^^* as it takes me about 1,5h-2h to complete an image with the circumstances I have atm.
You know, I admit, I AM a human catastrophe, there are days, I can hardly make myself get out of my bloody bed *depressions and due to that-I drink too much alcohol, will write about that in another journal someday^^* and-I need to do something between the big, time-consuming commissions I do to-cheer me up/keep me going^^ I know I sound like a nerd now but that's the way things are. I'd LOVE to be waaay more active around here but *yay, buts everywhere :c* I am a very shy person, I don't know what to say or how to communicate in a proper way plus I get embarassed really quickly for whatever reason ): I do not feel sorry for myself and I don't wanna play the drama-queen, haha, please don't get me wrong xD Just-want an opinion and let you lovely ppl know a little bit what is going on in my life behind the name-if you are interested that is^^

That's a realllly good piece, but like, because it isn't porn, among other factors, it'd get driven down here. But if you do have good quality art you can still shoot higher than most. Personally, I'd pay eightyish for something like that, if it were my cup of tea.
What I might suggest though is that you could offer specials from month to month. Also, gimmicks, furries love them gimmicks. :P So, make a certain type of portrait and say, special on portraits! $10 off! Or whatever it is you want to do. That might help you drum up business.
For the time window of completion, it does seem a tad high on price, but then the quality should never be judged by time(hence when I get "overcharged" at an auto-body shop. They may charge ridiculous amounts and get the job done in 10 minutes, but then they hold my car there for a week for dramatic effect. IM NOT SAYING TO HOLD ART HOSTAGE. Just sayin. :)
If I HAD the money, I'd easily spend 40-50, but probably couldn't justify more than 20 from my bank account at the moment.

I agree with modgey here ... there's barely more to say than this. :')
To put it in perspective, with the company I would get a psd file with multiple layers. I would retain all rights to copy sell modify ect. You would retain only the right to show and then giving credit to the company when you did. Your ability to show it would have a date attached often linked to a public release.
Now when I buy it for me I get a single layer in which ever format you feel makes it look best in a resolution agreed upon in advance (png 1300 by X typically). I retain copy write on my characters and you on your art. Neither of us can resell or modify both must credit each other. We can both display equally.
The simple fact is a company needs and expects to pay for quality, rights, ect. A person does not, they just want a pretty picture to put on their desktop on in a folder to look at now and again. I couldn't justify paying more for a piece of art then I would pay for 3 seasons of what ever anime I fancy this month. I really hope I put it into perspective from two views.
Your artwork is good.... and the prices you charge are probably about right.
