BTW, if you look at Manabu Namiki's website (music artist for this game), he still feels like this game is his favorite work ever.

i have a saturn with only two switches that someone else installed, that gets me NTSC, PAL, and NTSC Japan. Looking at the guide, i'm not sure how they configured the switches to pull that off. If you're really interested, i'll crack it open and figure it out.
A similar mod on the Genesis is similarly simple. I've done that one myself.
The saturn port of Garegga is FANTASTIC, the only thing that would make it better would be an optional rank level display and rank options, but as for arcade accuracy its spot on. The arrange soundtrack is outstaaaanding, I highly recommend you check some of the tracks out on youtube, someone uploaded them. Degeneracy in particular blows me away, it's not often I like an arrange soundtrack just as much as the original. The only bad think about the Saturn port is that it's pretty pricey, I dropped 130 on mine and it normally goes for closer to 150.
I'd have to agree that Garegga is Namiki's best work as a whole. There are some amazing standout tracks in Batrider and Dimahoo, Mushi Futari, especially DFK BL, but Garegga is just flawlessly amazing start to finish, not a single weak song.
