Something that really grinds my gears...

Artists who DO NOT communicate, especially when communicated to. I get so tired of trying to find out updates on my commissions, only to be ignored.
I mean what the hell? Even if this isn't your primary source of income, you should treat it that way. It's called Customer Service for fuck sake. Keep your commissioners(customers) in the loop! People are much more willing to accept delays if you tell them before hand rather than making them chase after you. And if they do ask you a question or ask for an update, ANSWER THEM!
Makes me so mad I could 'splode.

I guarantee you though that, if enough time passes to warrant this, a post on Artist's Beware would get their attention!
Won in a contest.
Contest host had same rant.
Took about 6-7 months after the contest to get.
So.
yeah.
When artists claim they're "catching up" on commissions and NO FUCKING PROGRESS IS MADE AT ALL.
Like... It would be nice to know, beforehand, that you're gonna be gone for a month so, you won't be able to talk to me... Especially when I've already paid in full.
Another thing that sucks is when you're commissioning a collaboration artist and you get two replies (finally) to an inquiry... And you get two different answers back. It's a little... odd.
