Alright, I admit it.

Ghost Adventures is my guilty pleasure. I loev loev loev it and I want to be a ghost hunter. I would even do the overnights, except like, I wouldn't want to be locked in like they are. And if I was locked in and something scared me/freaked me out/made me feel like I was in danger I would break a window, for realz. And I would just offer to pay for it. :x
But I still want to hunt ghosts! But the equipment is so expensive. And I don't know off hand of any places around here known for being super haunted. Galveston maybe? I'unno. I tried contacting three different ghost hunting groups in the area to see about joining but none of them have gotten back to me. Damn it.

FA+

A cemetery would be an obvious place but I'm afraid of offending someone who might be there grieving/visiting a lost loved one.
Yeah I wouldn't go to a cemetery. Wish I could help with more info.
Two/three years back my mother, some family members, and I were touring. In the ground floor in this hallway my mother said that she felt like there were spider webs on her arm. Nobody was next to her, and she was nowhere close to the hallway walls. Here's a little thing from this website: http://www.graveaddiction.com/osr.html
I did have a scary encounter with a ghost in the Reformatory. I was walking with my friend in front of a cell, and it felt like I ran into a spider web. I told the tour guide, and he asked, "Did it feel like you ran into a spider web?" I said yes. He said, "You have just been touched." It was awesome!
One of the first few years we went my brother was scouting the solitary confinement area by himself. The tour was going on the east side of the cells while he checked out the west ones. He said that he walked down the hallway a short bit, and all of a sudden he stopped. Without really knowing why, he somehow got this strange feeling and he thought he heard/felt someone just say "GET OUT!" So, he turned around and ran back to the group. Two years ago I was in the same area, but walking the other way down the block. The hallway was pretty dark, and you couldn't see hardly anything in the open cell blocks. While walking I was looking into them, and out of nowhere I just felt this urge to not look in them and just keep walking. Most of the group was well ahead/behind me, so I just quickly walked past the cells without looking at them. They say that a man burned himself to death in one of the cells with some fuel from the workshop, and a security guard was killed with a metal rod by an inmate. I'm sure more were killed. Last year we were walking the West Cell Block, and the lights went out and we heard some random noises. The tour guy said that it never happened before, but it might have been someone turning them off thinking nobody was in there. No explanation about that so far...
IDK... you just get this really strange feeling in there. It's definitely a place to get scared at if you went at night. I've got pictures if you'd like to see them. I'm not really in any of them though...
Sounds like loads of terrifying fun! XD
If you want to upload pictures, I'd love to see them. But you don't have to if it'd be too much trouble.
My brother had a not-so-great camera, so they're a little small... I think I'm going to take pictures this coming year with a good camera.
